Assembled a box of the Perry Miniatures plastic French Chassuers a Cheval this weekend. Two boxes gives you a little over 4 squadrons at 1:20. Great miniatures. Should have enough of an army to start gaming this spring!

The procurement phase of my Napoleonics continues. Ordered the light cavalry brigade deal from Perry Miniatures along with a few other random bits. Hope to be able to put on a game next month!

Spent some of last weekend cleaning up some 28mm metal Napoleonic minis. I’ve used a cheap ultrasonic jewelry cleaner on metal rigs before priming for years. Grey dots in the cleaner are clumps of mould release powder and other gunk. This is from just 16 models.

Cleaned up 72 metal napoleonic mins in about the same time it would’ve taken me to clean and assemble 16-20 multi-part plastic 28mm models. A trade off exists between saving money and saving time.

Cleaning up some Front RankFrench Napoleonic reinforcement packs. Overjoyed to find one 24-pack having three drummers in greatcoat with the drum slung over their shoulder. :-)

Hoping bsky starts working through their waiting list faster. Sorry to see some gamers I enjoy following leaving here for blue-er skies.

Working on some terrain for #battletech this morning. Quick & dirty painting - airbrushing basecoats, picking out a few details, washes and a lot of dry brushing.

I cannot POSSIBLY be any clearer (as someone who worked in IT managing some of this country's biggest databases) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANYONE PROVIDE PICTURES OF THEIR PASSPORTS OR DRIVING LICENCES ESPECIALLY NOT to databases outside the GDPR THREAD:

❗ The Source is NOT going out of business or moving❗ 🤗 Hey everyone! It's come to our attention that the wordage on our Summer Sale posters around the store has caused some confusion and led people to think we are going out of business or moving locations. 🧵 1/3

Well worth a read, I'm sure @pendraken are not alone here (though some issues are unique). Let's remember that if we can, support our gaming companies whilst they are still here, don't lament them when they are not.

I’ve stumbled across a video I’d forgotten I’d shot (similar to the one I’ve shared before, but slightly different). It’s of a WW1 Italian 149mm Ansaldo howitzer, sited at 3300m on a ridge above the Adamello glacier. It’s been up there for 107 years.
