[A direct mechanism-design response to the “The AI Layoff Trap”. Endogenous self-terminating Pigouvian tax; deployable under existing federal authority. Seems like a good day to drop this. This is the kind of AI slop you might want to pass through an LLM] Https://codeberg.org/guerril…
Two economists just published a mathematical proof that AI will destroy the economy. Not might. Not could. Will — if nothing changes. The paper is called "The AI Layoff Trap." Published March 2, 2026. Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Boston University. Peer reviewed. Mathematically modeled. The conclusion is one sentence. "At the limit, firms automate their way to boundless productivity and zero demand." An economy that produces everything. And sells it to nobody. Here is how you get there. A company fires 500 workers and replaces them with AI. A competitor fires 700 to keep up. Another fires 1,000. Every company is behaving rationally. Every company is following the incentives correctly. And every company is building a trap for itself. Because the workers who were fired were also customers. When they lose their jobs faster than the economy can absorb them, they stop spending. Consumer demand falls. Companies respond by cutting costs — which means automating more workers — which means less spending — which means more falling demand — which means more automation. The loop has no natural exit. The researchers tested every proposed solution. Universal basic income. Capital income taxes. Worker equity participation. Upskilling programs. Corporate coordination agreements. Every single one failed in the model. The only intervention that worked: a Pigouvian automation tax — a per-task levy charged every time a company replaces a human with AI, forcing them to price in the demand they are destroying before they pull the trigger. No government has implemented this. No major economy is seriously discussing it. Meanwhile the numbers are already tracking the curve. 100,000 tech workers laid off in 2025. 92,000 more in the first months of 2026. Jack Dorsey fired half of Block's workforce and said publicly: "Within the next year, the majority of companies will reach the same conclusion." Nobody is doing anything wrong. Companies are following their incentives perfectly. That is exactly the problem. Rational behavior. At scale. Simultaneously. With no mechanism to stop it. Two economists built the math. The math leads to one place. Source: Falk & Tsoukalas · Wharton School Boston University · arxiv.org/pdf/2603.20617

Her: What are you thinking about Me thinking about how a novel coronavirus supposedly jumped naturally from bats to humans at a wet market in Wuhan which somehow caused a global pandemic that killed millions while the closest known relative viruses were having gain-of-function research (funded by American taxpayers through Anthony Fauci’s NIAID and EcoHealth Alliance) performed at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and a 2021 DARPA internal memo calls SARS-CoV-2 an American-created recombinant bat vaccine that DARPA rejected for being too risky but the “research” continued anyway and when the lab leak occurred Fauci was on early calls with scientists privately panicking about the furin cleavage site looking engineered and then all the people doing the gain-of-function research were put in charge of investigating the origin of the virus and then days later they published Proximal Origin paper which claimed zero lab signs and pure natural evolution and then the people doing the gain-of-function research were put in charge of handling the pandemic response and then immediately while hospitals got massive extra federal payments for diagnosing COVID and putting patients on ventilators and listing deaths as COVID (even when patients died with the virus and had multiple serious comorbidities) PCR tests were cranked to absurd cycle thresholds creating false positives that inflated everything creating a manufactured panic (which also eradicated the flu) and then everyone was not allowed to leave their homes and then the mRNA shots were rushed out under emergency authorization and called safe and effective with the memo warning they don’t work since they just code for the same synthetic spike with no other epitopes pumping it into the bloodstream which triggers reactions mirroring the disease including myocarditis which then exploded in young males and then excess deaths spiked and natural immunity was dismissed and VAERS was ignored and the experimental unsafe ineffective gene therapy remained the only permitted treatment even though they already knew by April 2020 that hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin were effective treatments that inhibit viral replication and calm the immune overreaction to the synthetic spike yet those treatments were banned while while doctors scientists and whistleblowers who spoke out got censored or worse and refusing the vaxx got you fired and the lab leak was called a dangerous conspiracy theory and then leaked emails showed Fauci desperately begging for protection and then he got autopen pardoned by Biden literal hours before his term ended and to this day nobody has been charged with any crime: Nothing babe

We used to live in a world where if you quit your job you could get a new one in a month or two, if you got kicked out of your rental you could find one in a few weeks, if your relationship broke down you could find someone else without too much effort. This flexibility kept people mentally free. Now we live in a world where if you lose your job you might be unemployed for 6-12 months, if you get kicked out of your rental you might become homeless, and if your relationship breaks down that could be it forever thanks to dating apps, feminism and culture wars. The left calls this progress: this is the world they are happy with. Flood the country with millions of immigrants, ignore the economic consequences, and make sure only the 'correct' views (theirs) are allowed - to hell with the consequences. For everyone else, this is no way to build a future. If the switching costs of everything approach 'infinity' you become a slave. You can't quit a legitimately shit job because that might be the last one you ever have. You can't take a break because if you come back you won't find a rental. You can't quit a toxic relationship because that might be the last one you ever have - forged during a world prior to the culture wars, and political nonsense infesting everyone's mindset and values. People vastly underestimate how dysfunctional our entire society has become.

1987 : Allan Bloom publie The Closing of the American Mind pour donner l'alerte.

The reason is that industrial monoculture gutted 'town life' in the American Midwest. Thousands of these towns are zombies, animated by social security, medicare, and real estate inflation. Retirees own property, pay taxes for schools(property tax based off inflated land values from mass migration and money printing aka fake value) and employ hospital workers, artisanal small businesses, and subcontractors(plumbers, roofers, masons, carpenters, electricians, etc) all with that welfare money. Iowa's entire state budget is $9.65 billion. These old age programs bring in over triple that number annually: Social Security: $14.3 billion (2023) Medicaid (federal share): $6.27 billion Medicare: ~$11 billion (est.; 681k enrollees) Over the next decade the boomers will pass and the money will dry up. The fake rural small town economies will collapse along with their real estate values, and the governments will be insolvent.
I genuinely don’t understand why people don’t sell everything they have, move to Iowa, buy a beautiful old house for next to nothing, and start enjoying a simpler, better, and more affordable life.

WARNING: They’re turning American farmers into data slaves. The Palantir–USDA deal “One Farmer, One File” a permanent government digital profile tracking every farmer’s land, finances, crops, and livestock. Drones are already vaccinating cows. Satellites AI are next. They call it “efficiency.” It’s the infrastructure for total control over America’s food supply. Voluntary today. Mandatory tomorrow. This is how food sovereignty dies. America is being farmed — not the land.

Why you should help your neighbors: When we moved to my farm 5 years ago, we were outsiders. We intentionally have gone out of our way to become part of the community. It’s not entirely benevolent, you’ll understand at the end. I deliver garden vegetables to neighbors when I have excess. I occasionally cut trees when there’s a storm. We invite kids up to see our mini-horses. We occasionally host neighborhood trap shooting or horseshoes. One year I gave out 500 cherry tomato seedlings because we had too many (heirloom) come up on their own. It cost me nothing as my tomato bed was full of them & I’d have put them on the compost pile. I’ve mowed a couple of peoples lawns when their mower was down. We’ve caught lost horses, helped build fences, & I’ve tracked down lost family dogs in the woods. I’m the guy people call before the Sheriffs Dept, because I’m right there. We do a lot of other stuff too. What’s the result? People give us free eggs. 2 neighbors allow me to forage & hunt on their 200 acres. I’ve been shown secret Morel spots. A guy brought over his mini-tractor when I had a septic tank issue. When I needed to replace a fuel pump on a vehicle, I was loaned a trailer & minivan. That neighbors cousin fixed my truck under my carport for minimal cost. When my refrigerator died, out of the blue, a neighbor called & indefinitely loaned me one. It saved a refrigerator full of food. We are plugged into the network of people who have lived here their whole lives. We intentionally made friends. Friends are nice to talk to, but in the end, they are people you can lean on when things go poorly. You just need to be ready to reciprocate. There are a hundred other examples of helping others or them helping us that I won’t bore you with. Go out of your way to help others. If it’s not in your nature to do so, do it selfishly. You won’t regret it.

[underrated tweet. I dgaf bout the trans-techievampire-bro vs liberalharpy digression but the points made here are… prescient. The spoken word can hardly be qualified and Socratic debates should stay between genuinely vested noblemen, i.e. geniuses. ]
Online debate content worsens the world through falsely presenting haggard screeching harpies as legitimate participants in discourse. It's ragebait viral clipslop disguised as rhetorical debate. There's zero reason for anyone to be consuming takes through watching people talk. The written word is infinitely faster, more efficient, more thoughtfully presented, and more cogent than any video of people arguing with each other. Memetics, even moreso. The only reason the Socratic verbal debate exists is because the medium of written language has never had the ease of presentation and consumption it does now in any other point in history. Socratic debate is very close to being a delusional misstep in the nature of verbal combat. Its veracity is held together by the unstable and fleeting premise of operating within a sphere of learned mature peers who all agree to engage in rules of conduct. When the unwashed masses attempt to argue with each other, they succumb to the natural gravity of psychological warfare, attempting to crush opposing viewpoints as a default state and using every tool at their disposal to do so with zero desire to actually change their own viewpoints to arrive at a position of truth derived from logical argument. This form of thought is actually quite natural to the human condition, and arguably could be superior in a context where it's approached honestly. "I don't care what you have to say, I hate you and want you destroyed." "You are my enemy." "Your beliefs will stop existing the moment you do." All of these are actually honest and valid takes, justified through actually destroying your opponent in a physical, psychological, financial, and spiritual capacity. They are the subconscious drivers of total warfare. Yet, sensible people centuries ago decided society would be better off using peaceful methods to solve disagreements. This is a sound perspective, all the more justified when witnessing the consequences of violence within your own lifetime. This perspective is lost with time, replaced with generational cargo culting of traditions without the understanding of nuances which keep the system working as intended. When these nuances are lost, the intention and therefore function of the system falls apart. The debate becomes a larp, a pretense of civility masking the ill intentions of outgroup instigators and their mindless drone peons easily manipulated into dedicated their entire lives to uphold a brainworm ideology programmed through good/bad aesthetic signalling. When these nuances are lost, you welcome incongruities with reality and open yourself up to humiliation rituals. There's functionally zero reason as a man to allow yourself to be berated by a woman, let alone an ugly woman, let alone an ugly cunt with a sour face and venomous tone who solely concerns herself with the welfare of subhuman societal drains as a form of politically motivated civilizational suicide ideation. Not that Bryan Johnson is implicitly right wing, I'm assuming he falls under that vague technocapitalist futurist gray category associated with TPOT and accelerationism. But in this specific engagement, he's framed as oppositional to the woman in front of him. Whether choosing to engage in political ideology or not, he's being attacked and now must defend himself. In a just world, he could simply call her a hideous freak and question why a disgusting rude peasant has any right to question what he spends his own money on, regardless of its benefit to society. In a just world, he could ask her why there's any value whatsoever in dumping money into the perpetual chaos of blackness that looms over civilized society despite decades, if not centuries of evidence suggesting that any form of welfare charity to this contingent would not only be wasted, but in fact harm society in the long run. In a just world, he could simply humiliate her on camera and embarrass her through a verbal assault intended to make her come as close to humanly possible to killing herself, ridding the world of one less active virus. But in the humiliation ritual that is the "online debate platform" he must pretend to hold dignity in giving calm mature answers while being constantly interrupted. Nothing is learned. Nothing is gained. Nobody's mind is changed. Wokescold marxists simply go "yass queen" and indignant chuds smirk and mock the hateclown. Do not succumb to consuming debateslop on the internet. The verbal argument is a masturbatory practice. All debate online is a form of sophistry, solely dedicated to maintaining frame in front of an audience, including when I do it (I only do it specifically to harm people psychologically). The only worthwhile debates that actually engage in expanding your conscious viewpoint occur when engaged in complete isolation with only one other participant who shares the same civility and dignity you do, and usually they have to be halfway close to you in the spectrum of ideology to actually convince you of something and reach anything more than a polite stalemate. For men specifically, there is zero reason for you to ever argue with a woman that isn't your wife. And arguments with your wife are always nothingspats which should be navigated around, circumvented, and corrected in the same manner as if you were arguing with a child. They're make-believe verbal plays which signal a miscalibrated element of the relationship which often has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Misogynistic take? Maybe. The problem with women arguing with men that aren't their husbands is because women completely lack the context for conflict. When two men argue, there is the natural implication of violence looming over the interaction. This implication is made a mere shadow of itself through the many layers of law, social mores, and biologically inherited standards of conduct that men learn through the soft consequences of trial and error in childhood. Women completely lack this context and operate recklessly because they have acclimated an undue comfort in the safe society men provide them. This has led to the arrogant spiteful tone you see before, a smug indignation from a specimen who has done absolutely nothing in life to warrant any authority whatsoever in expressing an opinion, let alone bludgeoning anyone with chidings on what they should or shouldn't do. Every opinion a woman has ever had is either an expression of emotional self interest or the parroting of a man's opinion. They are creatures with no stake in their own existence beyond the foundation they are given by their fathers, brothers, and sexual partners. When they express themselves with hateful fervor, they do so in the poor imitation of a man. They attempt to convey authority but lack the cognizance to understand what power is or where it comes from, so it comes out as aggression. This is a state of affairs which will one day be corrected, violently, by the thorns of desperate necessity. A certain moment in time will reveal degraded conditions in which the legal consequences for violence will no longer have the manpower or resources to be held consistently. Soon after, the desperation and exhaustion incurred from societal decay will follow, and through a combination of weariness and degenerated population, the social consequences of violence will too dissipate. There will come a time, possibly in your lifetime, when the reality of violence will follow soon after any sort of conflict. If you are a woman, pay attention as best you can to the state of the society you live in. It may not be you, but your daughters or granddaughters who will have to deal with an open hand slap or an uppercut to the sternum after they've accosted a man in public in the manner you taught them. It won't be polite lisping white millionaires who deliver these blows either, but rather the grime bred mud babies you once championed as poor little victims. In that moment, when the warm wet blood seeps down a nostril and the eyes swell with tears with the taste of iron in the palate, the victim will have no sense of irony in their punishment. They will be too young to remember who's mistakes they're paying for.
