Under scarcity it’s expensive to be poor and cheap to be rich. But under abundance it’s cheap to be poor and expensive to be rich. Complete inversion from what you know.

There is a marked uptick of videos on social media showing Americans and Chinese getting along. “Our people love each other while our governments go to war.” The videos are shot “in China”. Folks that’s ccp propaganda. And proof that the 🇺🇸 strategy is winning.

1/ There's nothing more un-American than our slow, often corrupt build-by-permission permitting regimes. With AI creating an even wider gap between how the world works, and how it could work — it's time for radical change. @judgeglock & I make the case for private permitting 🧵

Veganism is not for human beings. Become a person again; eat meat. After all, that's how we became human.

No. “Vegan” means no animal foods. If you include dairy and eggs, that’s a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet, not vegan. Don’t need B12 supplements if you consume milk and/or eggs.

Just a reminder that the incentive structure points to boots on the ground to permanently control the flow of energy assets through the strait of Hormuz. Weaken Iran to eliminate the kinetic threat but leave the political threat for permanent troop justification. This is a containment strategy for China. If all the oil and gas infrastructure in the ME gets destroyed that’s not a bad thing as incentives are currently aligned. I don’t think it’s America First, but American citizens are not in charge. A small cabal of special interests are and there are zero elites in the other side taking a counter position. Maybe that’s the real story. The elites are aligned lockstep behind either total destruction of oil and gas infrastructure in the Middle East and/or permanent US military presence there.

MAHA is so ineffective and toxic that folks are getting wins by specifically not aligning with them. Even on topics they should be in direct partnership on. That said as a voting constituency they do move the needle in elections that are close. But as a positive organizing political force once the election is over? Not seeing the receipts.
The MAHA stuff has gone too far. It started out as a directionally positive movement when it promoted eating cleaner & healthier foods, exercising, etc. But now you have people obsessing over the dumbest things. Status and virtue signaling for bored suburban women.

This is awesome. In 2013, exoskeletons were all the rage in certain parts of nascent defense tech community. One problem: power. No longer.
Not every mission needs a megawatt. Nuclear batteries will power the next frontier – beginning in 2027.

Huge trend in computing is back to client side. AND BYOS - bring your own software. Anyone who was working when the iPhone came out may remember the BYOD movement. That ended with using your own phone and being issued a laptop of your choosing. Bring your own software is a profound shift. First of all, everything is shifting to client side inference. And with client side inference comes bring your own software. That is extra significant because software is currently an org-wide purchase. In the not to distant (<2yrs) it will be an IC decision. Buckle up.

The psyop men fall for is, “You can have kids anytime.” While true, the other side of this coin is, “Every day you delay kids is a day you don’t get with your grandkids.”

People demanding "proof" of election fraud are not understanding how crime works. I worked at Manhattan DA for over 2 years, one in Homicide. We never had video proof of the crime. We almost never had DNA. These are things that occur on CSI on TV, not in real life. And we still convicted people all the time. What we had was testimony and circumstantial evidence. Travel times, bank records, cell phone data, gate access codes. Motive, capability, benefit, time and place. Never direct proof. Of course the defendant always denied the crime, but there was enough evidence to show that one had to have occurred nonetheless. If what we have in the LA Mayoral election is a statistical anomaly that is beyond reasonable explanation with anything besides fraud, that is enough to prove a crime. This has been true since the beginning of Western Civlization.

“People not born in the US need to leave the country and reapply for citizenship. Those born to parents who were not citizens need to leave and reapply for citizenship.” My telemetry observatory caught this in the past month. It’s now a stable equilibrium point (shelling point) in the information environment. There is no left-wing counter argument to the above so it will grow/metastasize until one appears, it comes to dominate, or the system collapses. Given that I try and steel-man all points of view, I assess a greater than 50% probability (probably more like 80%) that it comes to dominate. The issue like other similar shelling points is “what exactly are you going to do about it?” These points are outside the paradigm and it’s hard to envision them reconciling without political violence.

Voyager 1 is 24 billion kilometers from Earth. It communicates with us using a 23-watt transmitter. Less than a refrigerator light bulb. The signal takes 22 hours to reach us, traveling at the speed of light. By the time it arrives, it's 20 billion times weaker than the power of a digital watch battery. NASA's Deep Space Network picks it up using 70-meter dish antennas cooled to near absolute zero to reduce electronic noise. The engineering required to hear a 23-watt signal from 24 billion km away is arguably more impressive than the spacecraft itself. Launched 1977. Still transmitting. Still being heard. We built something that works perfectly, 47 years later, in conditions no one has ever tested in. That's what engineering for the long term looks like.

Set is ready @ElonMusk We built it 25min from downtown Austin and can shoot anytime in the next 7 days on 1h notice. Humanity is on the verge of becoming a multi-planet species and spacefaring civilization. My goal with this interview is to help people viscerally feel what that future is going to look like and get everyone excited to help build it.
I guess this is a good time to announce we are currently in the process of building a set for an interview with Elon. Will be finished next month and should be legendary. Elon - lmk if you're in
