Researching hydrology, remote sensing and precision agriculture. Using UAVs, CubeSats and other novel sensors to gain insight into earth system processes
Proud to again make the list of #HighlyCitedResearchers for 2020. Recognition should obviously be focused on my amazing @HALOLaboratory team and many world-class collaborators. I don't have any single author contributions amongst my highly cited papers!
It was a pleasure to be part of the #litterdrone final workshop, where I was invited to present our work on use of drones for beach litter monitoring bit.ly/2rnlIBD

Many thanks to everyone who helped make #AGU17 such a memorable experience! Read about our trip and discover the ways our power users are using space (and science!) to help life on Earth: planet.com/pulse/more-sats-m…
One of the science highlights of the #AGU17 conference...getting to hold one of the @planetlabs CubeSats we've been doing so much nice work with recently. @HALOLaboratory want to launch our own CubeSats within the next 24 months.
UAV-based spectral mapping meets plant physiology/plant genetics. Here we're doing a baseline mapping run using visible, thermal and hyperspectral sensors over some recently planted saplings. @AgriWatchNews @UAV4Ag@DJIGlobal
So this happened on our last #field visit. A #Tornado ! Watch till the end, ignore my cries. Luckily the #tomatoes withstood! Do I need to include this in materials and methods now? Besides the #extreme weather, the field site is looking great. @KAUST_News@HALOLaboratory
The highest resolution crop water use estimates ever retrieved from space along with some ultra-high LAI to go with it. All using CubeSats @planetlabs goo.gl/dG9WfS
