Sometimes in life your heart longs to be somewhere you can’t be and you wish you were back home. When you come from a community like mine in Kilmarnock the heart is the people who make it beat. To be included virtually is unmeasurable. Here is a couple of paragraphs from the Rev. David’s sermon 🙏 💐’FLOWERS ‘ “And now, this simple act.   You brought a flower—you’re going to take one home 
but you won’t take home the same one.   You’ll receive a different one.   And perhaps you’ll wonder—
where did this come from?   Who chose it? What were they thinking about as they carried it?   We don’t know.   But we receive it anyway.   Because this is what the Church is.   We bring who we are…
and we receive from one another what we need.   Encouragement. Strength. Hope. Sometimes even faith—when ours feels a bit thin, even when we didn’t come expecting it.   This is what it means to be the Body of Christ.   People who  hold each other up share what they have and remind one another of what is true That Christ is risen.   I invite you all to come forward everyone of you to take a flower and go from this place”. ✝️”May the truth of the resurrection inspire us with new hope. Regeneration | Housing TOLLCROSS GLASGOW I Love ❤️ the East End of Glasgow where the people are the salt of the earth. There is NOT one political party who have a concrete solution for the housing crisis in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Unless you grow up,live in it or work in deprived communities you do not have a clue. I watched on ‘X’ feed yesterday @ReformUKScot vans in a photo call in the front of a development that was built by our then family business the KLIN Group in the early 2000s. This development was funded through Scottish Homes Gro Grant and our own private finance. Gro Grant was a policy to assist with housing market failure where locals couldn’t access low cost housing to buy or rent. The solution worked very well but the ‘do gooders’ in the government stopped the scheme and the people paid the price. I remember my first sale was to a local lady Mrs Doyle who just wanted a wee home to own outright. A lovely woman who was so pleased with her new home and our community values in assisting her during the sale process and after. Mrs Doyle told others in the area and before we knew it the development sold out. We didn’t use our marketing budget as the locals sold the development for us through word of mouth. We divided that saved budget across the flats and gave the purchasers cash back. We did that in all our east end developments. We build more developments in the area and gained friends for life. I was proud to be known as ‘The Lassie Marie’ from Killie. A development is NOT just bricks and mortar it has to have a beating heart ❤️ That beating heart is when Mrs Doyle baked us cakes every Sunday and handed them into the sales centre or the local butcher handing in some lamb chops because his daughter loved her new hoose or the local kids watching my motor for pocket money for chips! Happy memories 🙏 My point is this. I am tired of the political rhetoric accompanied by whirlwind stop overs in our Scottish Communities from ‘ALL’ politicians. Do any of them ever take the time to understand behind every brick there is a story of despair and then if you are lucky some ‘HOPE’ arises because a community pulls together when the cameras go. It is people who drive change NOT politicians and their speeches and bits of paper. The history of a site is important to me before I built out a development. The Green Picturedrome Cinema followed by the Carrington pub stood on that site before we built the flats where the locals gave it back it’s heart ❤️ Sometimes you need to go ‘Back To The Future’ in order to go forward again.
