Digitransit has released new routing version!
The new API contains new features and improvements among with whole new transit routing. We have also updated map version and done a major update to the digitransit.fi developer documentation.
We hope you enjoy our new APIs!

The HSL park-and-ride service at p.hsl.fi ended in 20th May, and it was replaced by a new national service from Fintraffic: parking.fintraffic.fi.

All parking facilities from the old system were automatically transferred to it. The parking area administrators are responsible for keeping information up-to-date as before.

We'd like to remind you, that starting from 3.4.2023, the use of the Digitransit production APIs will require registration and use of API keys. Registration can be done at the Digitransit API portal portal-api.digitransit.fi/.

HFP MQTT broker is currently having issues, which means that no HFP data is available. We are working on it. GTFS-RT vehicle positions should be available normally

Some of the buses on route 280 now produce HFP data. Note that transport mode in the MQTT topic for route 280 is "ubus" instead of "bus".

Digitransitin tarjoamien rajapintapalvelujen käyttö tulee 3.4.2023 alkaen vaatimaan tunnistautumisen. Rajapintapalvelut ovat edelleen maksuttomasti käytössä. Tunnistautumisen käyttöön voi siirtyä jo nyt. Lisäinfoa (englanniksi) digitransit.fi/en/developers…

Oh wow! I remember comparing different GTFS plugins for QGIS less than a year ago and this was super buggy then. Seems like it has improved a lot! Imported this Helsinki file without any issues.

Real-time passenger count is now available through GTFS-RT vehicle position feed for some of the buses in HSL area.
Note that this feature is still experimental and there can be issues in data quality and availability.

HSL's map style (github.com/HSLdevcom/hsl-map…) has been renewed. Our new version (v2) uses @OpenMapTiles for map rendering. The old version (v1) will still be working for some time, but we recommend users to migrate to the new version during spring/summer 2022.

Those of you who use our raster maps just need to switch to the new version (v1 -> v2). In addition vector map users will need to upgrade their map style to follow the OpenMapTiles scheme. This scheme can be found in the master-branch under hsl-map-style in github.

@HSL_HRT Reittioppaan kohdehaku löytää kohteen nimen perusteella oli sitten kyseessä kaupallinen kohde, kulttuurikohde, luontokohde, nähtävyys tai kunnallinen palvelupiste - myös epäviralliset hieman harvinaisemmat tai vaikkapa slangimuodossa olevat nimet.
