The Energy Czar and Executive Director of the Public-Private Partnerships Authority, Josué A. Colón Ortiz, P.E., accompanied by representatives from the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, visited the San Juan Power Plant, operated by @Genera_PR, to welcome a delegation of Chiefs of Staff from the U.S. Senate, the @WestCaucusFound, and The @LIBREinitiative. During the visit, technical personnel from Genera Puerto Rico provided an overview of the island’s generation system, including ongoing projects and planned initiatives to strengthen energy capacity. The delegation also toured the company’s and New Fortress’s facilities to overview current operations. This visit reinforces the continued collaboration, transparency, and oversight efforts led by the administrations of President @realDonaldTrump and Governor @Jenniffer González-Colón, to move forward with the completion of several strategic energy projects. @PRFAA @USACEHQ @lafortalezadepr @gobiernodepr

We continue strengthening Puerto Rico’s position as a key player in the security of the Western Hemisphere through a meeting with Christopher Creaghe, Commanding General of the 1st Mission Support Command of the United States Army. During the meeting, we discussed the proud service of our men and women in the military and future collaboration with the U.S. Army Western Hemisphere Command, as well as the opportunities this presents for economic development, emergency response support, and strategic collaboration. — Continuamos fortaleciendo el posicionamiento de Puerto Rico como pieza clave en la seguridad del hemisferio occidental, al tener un encuentro con el General de Brigada Christopher Creaghe, comandante del 1st Mission Support Command del Ejército de los Estados Unidos.
