Labor's welfare compliance system isn't just morally reprehensible, it's operating illegally. And we've known this for a long time! Their "once-in-a-generation reforms" (lol) mean nothing if the architecture of this punishing system remains.

Your job provider cannot demand your payslips. It's a breach of the deed if they harass you for them by booking appts, or threaten/suspend your payment if you don't hand them over.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if MPS and Senators in Australia worked 45 weeks per year. Arranged Zoom meetings with constituents or had electorate staff in place locally to provide liaison outreach with constituents. An attendance register where a baseline minimum of 85% attendance in the House or Senate is mandatory. They get paid remarkably well. Imagine how much could be done? Throw in random drug tests and alcohol screening. #auspol
