The opposition/trolls are rediculing Ambika, our JVP සහෝදරිය. Growing up my family spent 2 months in Diyathalawa. We roamed all over upcountry. What I remember visiting tea estates was the stench of sewage from the "ලයිම" slums (no toilets). Give them more toilets, Ambika.

The politics of Malimawa has destroyed the social fabric in several ways. It has completely destroyed suspicion, anger, jealousy, and the valuable quality called democratic political discourse.
Today in Sri Lanka you can’t even present an opinion that disagrees with the government. A few months ago they would comment with profanity and send the most obscene threats in Inbox.
But today it has even come to the point of coming to your house to threaten you.
The worst thing is the amount of money paid by the government, the party, and businessmen connected to it.

So this was our Mỹ Lai Massacre.
සක්කිලියා: This was used as a derogatory word ("සක්කිලියා පඩි ගත්ත වගේ" if a group of people is making chaos). I remember growing up & spending holidays in Diyathalawa army city in the 60s/70s. The bucket toilets were cleaned by the Dalits.

What Ruki doesn't understand is that the deep state is still have allegiance to the Rajapakshas. Most police & security force leaders were promoted by them. Sallay if released will be assassinated by suicide. If Sallay is killed there won't be any case against the Rajapakshas.

Kevin ⬇️, died in the Zion Church bombing in Betticaloa. His Mom never recovered from the grief. I met many moms in 1990/91 who never recovered from their sorrow (as of now most have died & others are forgotten).

Six skeletons piled together were unearthed today (8) at #SriLanka's 2nd largest mass grave. 16 skeletons have been identified bringing the total to 318, of which 302 have been excavated. Some of them belong to children, said Attorney at Law VS Niranjan at the #Chemmani site.
