What is stopping India from having both? We need to stop having such low expectations from the Indian polity, policy, and society. India had a space program long before universal enrolment in primary schools. Had a nuclear program while having millions in extreme poverty. A country’s development isn’t a to-do list where you have to finish one task to move on to the next. Things can happen simultaneously.
It is interesting that so many Indians want India to have advanced AI models. India should focus on basic law and order first. Criminals have no concern for law. Regular people and entrepreneurs are afraid of harassment from the government. AI model is side effects not goal.

Such lazy copywriting.

Among the various harms of #AI, I feel the most dangerous is that it is slowly killing our ability of self-reflection and original thought. (1/n) Read here: harshitpai.substack.com

#AI narrows the possibility of these connections and ideas through the power of suggestion. The chatbots suggests a direction and we humans tend to lock in on it. As a result, you reflect less, are exposed to lesser serendipity, and innovate lesser. (3/n)

The solution that has worked for me is to keep a #CommonplaceBook. This is a repository of quotes, phrases and thoughts I have had from my wide reading. Beauty of this is the phrases mature as they age, take on new meaning, and different phrases tend to connect to create a unique idea. Result is more serendipity (n/n)

I have a prediction. The greater the proliferation of AI drab, the better the books that will get published. People will crave really authentic writers and storytellers. Publishers will then be forced to drop ghost-written books for real author-written masterpieces.

Frankly a very good ask especially since @karnatakadem has been successfully running the Beyond Bengaluru project for the last 6 years with a good number of takers. This would help in talent mobility to the companies and GCCs setting up in Beyond Bengaluru clusters.

A moment of silence for everyone who writes “Building CRED” in their LinkedIn bio.
I guess that's Kunal Shah!? 😬

Beware of getting into debates where your opponent has framed their assertions as absolutes. Nothing in life are absolutes.

If there ever was an Indian adaptation of House of Cards, it would be much better than the original. #TMCRebellion

पूरी ख़बर- intdy.in/zj2h68 #MamataBanerjee #SayaniGhosh #TMC #TrinamoolCongress #WestBengalPolitics #TMCRebellion | @Piyush_mi

You can tell a lot about a person by the PR that surrounds him.

I both agree and disagree with @TVMohandasPai. Whoever is nominated to represent Karnataka in the Rajya Sabha must have skin in the game for the state’s development. People who were born and raised here have more skin in the game. What language they speak is irrelevant.
The question to ask is-Why is a non Kannadiga, a total outsider to Karnataka being promoted as a Raj sabha member from Karnataka? One who has no loyalty to Karnataka, no relationship at all, no connection? Is there nobody from Karnataka fit to represent Karnataka? It is time Kannadigas spoke up against all political parties riding rough shod over us and promoting non Kannadigas to represent us at our cost. This show total non respect to Kannadigas. All political parties should be asked to stop this very bad practice which shows total disrespect to voters in a state. Karnataka does not belong to any political party! This is the sort of healthy and respectful debate I like to see between two very well-read gentlemen who are having a very agreeable disagreement. @Ram_Guha @ShashiTharoor
Dear @ShashiTharoor , I enjoyed your spirited defence of Rahul Gandhi. Alas, it does not address the central thesis of my column and interview—his dismal leadership record. The facts speak for themselves. The Congress suffered heavy defeats in three successive General Elections fought under his leadership. Meanwhile, the number of Congress MLAs has come down by almost 50% under his watch. In 2013, the Congress was in power in 14 states. That was the party Rahul Gandhi inherited. Now the Congress is in power in just 5 states. As the countrywide footprint of the party shrinks, surely its principal leader should be held accountable? Or is that a question too uncomfortable for the Congress to face?

Very insightful conversation with @sansad_tv. The sheer effort that goes into making #NIPUNBharatMission a reality is massive and teachers are at the centre of it. #ClassroomHeroes @dpradhanbjp @EduMinOfIndia @narendramodi
"Teachers play a key role in all of our lives. The responsibility of quality education in India rests with our teachers - it is their excellence that will determine how well our students learn". ✨ In this conversation with @sansad_tv, Shri @sanjayjavin Ji (Hon'ble Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, @EduMinOfIndia) reflects on the critical role of quality learning in India's road to becoming a Viksit Bharat - especially during a child's foundational years of 0 to 8.
