Yesterday we held our @CygnetOT Personality Disorder, Eating Disorder and CAMHS service line meeting. We had a study day on meeting the needs of individuals with ASD within our services. Great presentations from psychology, OT and SLT

I support schools, and hearing about all the children waiting for 3 years for SLT support/therapy/assessment is absolutely heartbreaking. That’s not a just a poor service - that’s a pandemic in itself. Rights are not being met. We’ll see implications of this for years #SLCN #SLT

Rcslt recommends in order to support better outcomes for CYP
accessing mental health services,
SLTs should be recognised as part of core CAMHS workforce, be embedded in all relevant CYP MHservices. CYPs workforce should receive training re links of SLCN & mental health 😊
