BREAKING: Amotekun Arrests 97 Suspects in Major Two-Week Security Sweep Across Ondo State
The Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, says it has arrested 97 suspects across the state within two weeks in a coordinated crackdown on criminal activities including kidnapping, armed robbery, burglary, vehicle theft, and violations of the anti-open grazing law.
State Commander, Akogun Adeleye, said the arrests cut across all 18 local government areas and included members of organised criminal groups as well as informants. “We have a total of 97 suspects arrested across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State within the last 14 days,” he said, adding that the operation also led to the disruption of a criminal syndicate and the recovery of stolen vehicles.
