Someone has been doing a very good job of trying to kill this story in the local media. Barely reported. As reported, the vehicle, KCQ 222X, belongs to Dawamu School, owned by Phillip Waithaka and his wife Claudia Waithaka. Their son, Kinuthia Waithaka was driving. Allegedly they came to the accident scene and took their child, left the rest. They allegedly have tried to say that a 34 year old relative was driving but witnesses from that night have refuted that claim.

Or better still, we drop the European habit of naming institutions after people and name them after their locations. Uganda's national airport, referral hospital and university are named after the places they're located. There's something that does to the mind. It prevents focus on people and unnecessary wars over who matters and who doesn't.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport should be renamed Dedan Kimathi International Airport.
It is time Kenya stopped immortalising collaborators, traitors and colonial puppets while erasing our real heroes.

In the early years of CBC, I predicted that private schools would make a kill from parents running away from CBC. In fact, I suspected that CBC was imposed precisely to break the public school system and create a market for private schools, because at the time the curriculum was being imposed, foreign investors were buying up local schools and building new schools.
