I have a speech impediment. Some days, I struggle to say my own name.
I spoke to @MattChorley about stammering, the impact it’s had on my life in politics and how I navigate it. It’s not always easy, but I won’t let it silence me.
Stammerers are some of the bravest, most talented people I know. To young people with speech impediments thinking about getting into politics, my message is simple: go for it! Your voice deserves to be heard and there are so many of us here to support you

I’ve just finished chairing a meeting between over 80 residents of Hendon Waterside in West Hendon, senior executives from Barratt and senior managers from the development’s new managing agent Encore. For too long, residents of Hendon Waterside have suffered from poor service and high service charges at the hands of FirstPort. As a new managing agents gets ready to take over, I’m determined that residents’ voices are heard and that they get a better deal
