This year promises to be the craziest year in technology AND the craziest year ever for me.
I'm kicking it off with a brand new House of Tech website, built on Cora CMS, a brand new CMS I vibe-coded in just 20 hours from start to finish. Yes – a full CMS with the best of WordPress, Substack, Ghost, Beehiiv, and others, built into one platform that I built myself with Gemini and Cursor.
The new site allows me to both publish content and newsletters directly, but also import other content I publish around the web, all in one single feed. The DNS change may not have propagated yet, but the pictures attached show the before (WordPress) and after. It's built using almost 20 years of experience in publishing, complete with using over 20 different CMS products across a range of publishers in that time.
How did this happen?
Three weeks ago, I met @YouWare in China, where I was introduced to the concept of Vibe Coding. In the past 3 weeks, I've built 3 major platforms, 3 mobile apps, and 3 lightweight SaaS products. I've also vibe-coded 5 different other websites, and the new House of Tech website, coupled with the new powerful yet lightweight Cora CMS, is just the start.
Cora is built on a modern React stack, powered by Vercel and vibe-coded with Gemini and Cursor. Gemini is incredibly powerful and the best CTO/Architect that a single person could ask for. It still needs me to be the Product Manager – a role I have enjoyed playing – but it's ideal for bringing my dreams and plans to life.
I'm still a creator, a journalist, consulting with companies on mock reviews and product roadmaps, and throwing events. Now, you can add a software developer to that list. It's an exciting time to have ideas, and I can't wait to share what else I've been working on!
