Priority List allows consumer chains to choose which opted-in validators take precedence in their validator set. 🥇 🥈 🥉 Previously, a large Hub validator would automatically take priority, meaning small vals were at risk of being kicked out of the consumer chain set.

Customizable slashing and jailing allows consumer chains to choose the penalty (slashing, jailing, both) for different kinds of infractions - downtime and double-signing. 🚓 🚨 Previously, validators got slashed and jailed for double-signing, and jailed for downtime.

Our 2024 mandate ended in December, but the testnets team is optimistically hard at work on the Hub this January. We're working with Interchain Labs to bring the first upgrade of 2025 to the Cosmos Hub mainnet while we wait for the results of our 2025 funding proposal. .. 1/4

We get lots of feedback about timezones, hardware requirements, and strict task criteria. But testnet is not for the faint of heart! Testnet operators are the best of the best -- consistently leading the Hub's active set in upgrade time and supporting fellow operators. 4/5
