Idaho joins in mourning the passing of former Governor Dirk Kempthorne, a statesman whose legacy of leadership, service and unwavering love for the Gem State leaves an enduring mark on our state and nation. Kempthorne died on Friday, April 24. Together we worked on legislation that became known as Benji's Law HB 776. This week Governor Little signed it into law. I carried it in the House and Senator Tammy Nichols carried it in the Senate. I want to publicly thank Gov. Little for signing HB776.
