To accuse the Cuban government of “weaponizing energy” when you yourself have caused a humanitarian crisis by imposing a fuel blockade on the entire country... No words.

Peru's indigenous Aymara region will not recognise the elections if Fujimori wins, because she has already lost the popular vote within the country. If she wins it'll be due to those from abroad, not in Peru. Protests & strikes are coming to defend the country's majority.

When Donald Trump says that Cuban people love him, he’s talking about Cubans in Miami. On the island, it’s a different story. We asked Cubans in Cuba about what they think about Trump.

Marco Rubio announced new sanctions against Cuba's state-owned oil, in order to intensify the US-imposed energy crisis. But is Cuba as "repressive" as Marco Rubio and Trump claim? Contrary to what they say, Cuba does have regular elections — with high voter turnout. WATCH: President Miguel Díaz-Canel explains the country's democracy, from our new film, "Cuba After Castro." The USA trained Luis Posada Carriles at Fort Benning, Georgia. He proceeded to blow up a Cuban plane killing 73 people including the youth fencing team. He bombed hotels. They then sent him down to El Salvador to help run Iran-Contra and smuggle tons of cocaine into the US.
SECRETARY RUBIO: "Cuba has sponsored terrorism. For example, virtually every left-wing, radical, violent terrorist group in the Western Hemisphere has at some point relied on support from Cuba."

The idea that carceral facilities serve as a refuge for vulnerable people isn't new, but it is incredibly false. Incarceration in all forms is a nightmare.
Congressman Jeff Van Drew on Delaney Hall, where detainees are paid $1/day or less for their work and are on hunger strike: "This is better treatment than people generally receive... the conditions are better than 90% of the world lives in, and probably half of America."

🔴 This is a very informative book for understanding more on Israel’s involvement in Central America. The 1986 monograph comprehensively presents Isr_el's historic relationship with rightist dictatorships and forces in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua under Somoza, as well as the contras. It's No Secret should be recognized as a groundbreaking work in exposing the longstanding and long-ignored Israeli covert intervention in Central America. There is no getting around the fact that, in Central America, Israel has provided major military and strategic support to some of the world's bloodiest military tyrannies. Tu lucha es mi lucha! 🔴 Read it for free here: archive.org/details/its-no-s… Thanks to our comrade, Rodrigo Lozada, for finding the digital copy, as an old copy will sell for hundreds. #abyayala #turtleisland #nuestraamerica #explore #centralamerica

Let it be known far and wide that Democratic leaders @RepJeffries @RepGregoryMeeks @RepAdamSmith @JAHimes might vote against ending U.S. support for the Israeli war on Lebanon. That would put them on record as supporting Israel’s intentional killings of dozens of journalists, well over 100 medical workers, over 200 children, entire families, over 3,400 people since March 2. That would mean they’re okay with Israel blowing up entire Lebanese villages, destroying over 50,000 homes and displacing over a million people in a publicly stated plan to empty a fifth of Lebanon of its inhabitants. If they vote against @RepRashida’s resolution, they are giving their stamp of approval to these horrific, unforgivable crimes against the Lebanese people. And we won’t forget it.
Democratic leadership opposes @RepRashida’s effort to end U.S. support for Israel’s destruction of Lebanon. Sick and cowardly. “There are also concerns among Democratic leadership that the resolution could hamper the U.S.'s current efforts to combat Hezbollah, lawmakers, aides and other sources familiar with the internal discussions told Axios. Reps. Greg Meeks (D-N.Y.), Adam Smith (D-Wash.) and Jim Himes (D-Conn.) — the top Democrats on the House Foreign Affairs, Armed Services and Intelligence Committees — are on the fence, according to multiple sources. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said he hasn't "taken a look at it yet," with a leadership aide telling Axios there are drafting issues that could be fixed to make the measure more widely palatable.”

🚨🇪🇨 Reports of sexual torture, mass starvation, physical abuse, and tuberculosis are emerging from Ecuador’s military-controlled prisons while the government expands security cooperation with U.S. Southern Command. Drop Site contributor Camila Galarza-Zavala reports from Quito that one inmate died every seven hours over the past year, pushing prison deaths to their highest level in recent history and surpassing the era when drug cartels controlled the prison system. Among the detainees are former left-wing Vice President Jorge Glas, who lost 30 pounds and was found unconscious after allegedly being denied food and medical care; Omar Campoverde, a member of the Marxist Movimiento Guevarista, who says he was sexually assaulted by prison guards; and Aquiles Alvarez, the elected mayor of Ecuador’s largest city, who has been held by the state for the past three months. The crackdown on political prisoners comes as Washington deepens its support for the Ecuadorian government, supplying Pentagon bombs and deploying military personnel. The photographs accompanying this report were taken inside Ecuadorian prisons by inmates between 2024 and 2025 and shared with their families to expose conditions behind bars. They were first published by journalist Karol Noroña for CONNECTAS. @sovietwithsazon for Drop Site News
