New Report: Indigenous entrepreneurs are among Canada’s fastest-growing business leaders, but digital barriers are holding them back. Today, the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation (IPF) is launching a timely report, Bridging the Digital Divide: Enhancing Access for Indigenous Entrepreneurs in Canada, revealing how high Internet costs, lack of digital training, and unreliable broadband are preventing Indigenous businesses from scaling, exporting, and competing in today’s economy. Key Findings: 🔹 65% of Indigenous entrepreneurs struggle with high Internet costs and unreliable broadband, limiting business growth. 🔹 57% lack access to digital training, preventing them from adopting e-commerce, automation, and AI-driven tools. 🔹 91% of Indigenous women entrepreneurs face financial constraints and online harassment, discouraging digital business participation. What’s at stake? Canada is navigating trade challenges, labour shortages, and productivity concerns—and we cannot afford to leave Indigenous businesses out of the digital economy. By closing the digital gap, we unlock billions in new economic activity, strengthen supply chains, and create jobs across the country. Read the announcement: indigenousfoundation.ca/blog… Read the full report & discover real solutions: indigenousfoundation.ca/digi… Let’s work together to bridge the digital divide and build a stronger future for all.
