As part of the #IPSERIES 100-day Christmas countdown, Day 3 discusses the process behind how festivals are listed as cultural heritage. I also shared insights on leveraging #culturalheritage through #IP and the challenges we face in the realm of intellectual property at our festivals.
This episode is inspired by a recent post featuring the Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hon. Hannatu Musa Musawa, proudly presenting the UNESCO World Heritage Certificate for the Sango Festival to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, the Alaafin of Oyo. This recognition was celebrated during the grand finale of the Sango Festival, and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State also received the certificate.
