Too often, people living in poverty are blamed & stigmatised. Poverty is not a personal failure but a systemic one — a denial of dignity & human rights. Let’s reject stigma & discrimination, stand with people in poverty & act in solidarity to #EndPoverty for good.

Labor is going to Washington having committed another $9 billion for a new US nuclear submarine base off Perth and likely some special access to our critical minerals. Selling the family silver for some second hand nuclear submarines.

“𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤” ~ Justice Paul Smith AM A Supreme Court of Queensland decision handed down on Friday, 3 October 2025 has made history, in the worst of ways. His Honour 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐌 has permanently stopped—or stayed—the prosecution of an Australian taxpayer and citizen known by the pseudonym of Julie ‘Clark’. BBC paid £400,000 to create a documentary called “Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone.” They hired a 13 yo narrator who was the son of the Hamas Ministry of Agriculture. Today, the UK’s media regulator Ofcom has determined that BBC “materially misled” viewers and “seriously breached” broadcasting rules. As a consequence, the BBC will be required to air an apology and a statement of Ofcom’s findings on live broadcast.

Hamas's onslaught on Gaza Palestinians who critique the militia is a surprise for the Palestinian Authority and the eight Arab-Muslim states backing Trump's ceasefire. They expected Hamas to spring into action to win over Gazans after the ceasefire and help the needy. Instead, the militia is more concerned about subjugation of Gaza's Palestinians and showing them who's in charge in case they have any ideas about Hamas's weakness after the war.

How much is genetic? Common SNPs explain = 9.5 % of overall ME/CFS risk (heritability on the liability scale).     For comparison: - asthma = 10 % - arthritis = 12 % - type 2 diabetes = 13%     So ME/CFS is typical for complex diseases when you look only at common variants.

Great that Premier Minns wants to give Western Sydney a less safe and reliable Metro, deliberately built to lower standards than the wealthy suburbs Metro, and without the art. Class warfare from the party of the workers. #nswpol
