Apparently they've closed Oxford town centre. That's weird, because I was just there and there were shedloads of people!
I don't share your optimism. Round here in Oxfordshire they've closed the town centre out of spite. Are looking to push permit parking. Are pushing bike -only rural LTNs to make the countryside difficult and frustrating too.

Hmm, I was disappointed to hear David Mitchell making a 'cyclists all jump red lights' joke on Radio 4 this evening. I honestly thought he'd be better than that.

You have to be genuinely insane to believe that maintaining the road surface is the sole economic cost of motoring. The cost of collisions ALONE far outweighs the combined total income from VED and fuel duty, for example.
Drivers subsidise the government £8.4 billion from VED/Road Tax £24.7 billion from fuel duty £6-8 billion per year spent maintaining roads. Drivers pay in £24-£26 billion more than is spent on maintaining their infrastructure (that is also used by cyclists for free)

EXCL: Zack Polanski overheard speaking loudly on his phone on a train saying there's shit loads of new green party members. And the Greens are going to win elections right across England and Wales in May. Join.greenparty.org.uk

And that's why Hitler's Nazis rounded up and placed in concentration camps around 200,000 to 300,000 socialists, communists, union leaders, left-wing activists, and left-wing intellectuals.

Hitler was a far left socialist. His party was called the national socialists.

The world's richest man claims to be a "slave" to the poorest 10% of people in society. I'm starting to question his sanity.

Guy who's personality is hating on an actually quite funny comedian for no apparent reason, and also turning off replies so people can't tell him he's a twat.

He's also whined endlessly about increasingly shit weather fucking up his farm's profitability after making his millions hooning around in gas guzzlers and loudly mocking anyone who talked about climate change.

This guy is a total nutcase and doesn’t know what he’s talking about. On human timescales natural CO2 emissions and withdrawals largely balance out. Since industrialization essentially ALL (100%) of the increase in atmospheric CO2 is human-caused.
"There is no climate emergency... It is a con. It's not underpinned by science." Geologist Prof. Ian Plimer: "It has never been proven that human emissions of CO₂ drive global warming." "Only 3% of emissions are from humans, the rest is natural... So if you're to prove that humans, and their emissions of the the gas of life, change climate, then you also have to prove that the natural emissions—97% of all emissions—don't change climate." "That has never been addressed."

Rupert Lowe here actually saying that 'white people are massively underrepresented right across society'. There's no polite way to say this - he's f***ing nuts.
Sarah Pochin had a point - white people are massively underrepresented right across society, very much including the advertising industry. Could she have worded it better? Yes, obviously, but Farage was wrong to throw her under the bus yesterday for it. A good leader supports their team, even in difficult times. The media focus on this over the past few days has been insane. Don't submit to the mob, certainly don't throw a colleague to the wolves to satisfy the pack. It will never work. Let's be honest. Anti-white racism is rife - I've been making this argument quite vociferously. I get called racist on a daily basis because of it. Oh well. They can get in the queue behind Maitlis. White men and women face discrimination because of the colour of their skin. Regularly, in the many, many thousands. It's not even hidden. It's openly bragged about. We must continue to call that out. Even if it results in unpleasant names. Honestly, who cares anymore? Let's push back. I will certainly continue doing so. One clumsy clip from @SarahForRuncorn, taken out of context, is simply not a priority. I hope Sarah is taking it alright.
