This interview hurt my soul. The mistreatment of black women and journalists by this President is down right embarrassing and unacceptable. Kristin Welker is neither crooked or stupid. Carbon tax on farmers, carbon tax on processors, carbon tax on transportation, carbon tax on the store… then they act shocked when the price of protein explodes. This isn’t “global inflation.” This is what happens when you punish production and reward virtue signalling for over a decade. Finally, incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc. In a case involving one of my stories, the entire program came within 19 minutes of not getting on the air at all.   At 60 Minutes, we have fought harder than anyone knows to save the program that became an American icon. We owed that to our millions of viewers. I am deeply moved by the thousands of wishes we have received to “keep up the good fight.” Most of the men and women of CBS News are still in that fight. But now the collapse of values at the top has become untenable. The leadership of 60 Minutes is no longer recognizable. The principles I hold dear are gone, and so I must leave as well.”

The Globe and Mail is now running opinion pieces about cutting elderly benefits because Canada faces “crippling debt.” Perfect. Not cut bureaucracy. Not cut consultants. Not cut foreign aid. Not cut corporate welfare. Not cut the Liberal spending machine. Not cut the political class that created the debt bomb. No. Cut grandma. That is how this always works. Trudeau, Freeland, Carney, and the Liberal Party help bury Canada under debt. Then the establishment media starts preparing Canadians for the “unpopular” solution. The people who built the mess never pay. The elderly get handed the invoice. Canada was robbed by incompetence. Now seniors are being told to sacrifice. Brilliant system.

After years of working and paying taxes, the media is pushing for elderly benefits to be cut back. Meanwhile a refugee claimant receiving $224.00 per day in assistance is good to go. You can’t hate the media enough in Canada.

It was recently found out that Carney spent almost $200,000 dollars on inflight catering for 3 trips. Thats 11 years of groceries for a family of 4. The same guy went live on TV & told Canadians that we will need to make sacrifices & that his Government was going to cut waste. I guess it didn’t apply to him.

I remember about 20 years ago a cabinet minister resigned over an $18 glass of orange juice. Now Carney spends almost $100k on luxury airplane food on 1 trip, and it's hardly news.
