🎵⚽ WORLD CUP 2026 UPDATE
FIFA has assembled a star-studded lineup for the 2026 World Cup soundtrack, featuring artists including Shakira, Burna Boy, Jelly Roll, Daddy Yankee, Future, and Tyla.
But while the official music campaign is still taking shape, an unofficial World Cup track by streamer and content creator IShowSpeed has rapidly gained traction online, with fans already calling it the tournament’s “people’s anthem.”
Speed’s previous World Cup song amassed more than 200 million views, outperforming many official tournament anthems. His latest release, “Champions,” reportedly surpassed 500,000 views within its first two hours and references all 48 participating nations, giving supporters from around the world a reason to engage and share.
The development highlights the growing influence of the creator economy, where digital personalities can rival — and sometimes surpass — the reach of traditional media campaigns through their own built-in audiences.
While FIFA selects the official artists, online audiences ultimately decide which songs become cultural phenomena.
The official soundtrack may belong to FIFA, but the internet appears to be choosing its own anthem.
