Allowing males into women's sports improves absolutely nothing for women. It's singularly to benefit males.

In a hotel room, half your brain never actually sleeps. Researchers at Brown University found in 2016 that your left hemisphere stays measurably more alert in unfamiliar environments, running a background surveillance process while your right hemisphere rests. Their paper in Current Biology compared this to how dolphins sleep with one eye open and one brain half awake. Humans run a weaker version every time they sleep somewhere new. They called it the First Night Effect. The team measured it with high-density EEG (brain-activity sensors placed across the scalp) and found the left brain acts as a night watchman, sampling sounds and potential threats while you sleep. You're technically unconscious, but part of you isn't. Deep sleep is where the body actually repairs itself. Growth hormone is released almost exclusively during this stage, which is when muscle tissue gets rebuilt and the immune system resets. In an unfamiliar bed, you get measurably less of this, even when total hours stay the same. The brain also runs a waste-clearance system called the glymphatic network. Maiken Nedergaard's lab at the University of Rochester showed in 2013 that during sleep, brain cells physically shrink by 60%, expanding the space between them and flushing metabolic waste out at roughly twice the waking rate. The waste includes amyloid beta, the same protein that accumulates in Alzheimer's disease. When sleep is disrupted, this clearing process slows, and metabolic waste stays in the brain longer than it should. Your own bed sends a different set of signals to your amygdala (your brain's threat-detection center): familiar smell, familiar temperature, familiar sounds. The night watchman finally stands down, and for the first time in days, both hemispheres actually sleep. Walker called it an underrated reset. The science says it's a biological one.
sleeping in your own bed after traveling is an underrated reset

And yet another state championship title stolen from a phenomenal female athlete by an average boy. In the past decade, boys pretending to be girls have "won" girls' state titles in New York, West Virginia, California, Massachusetts, Oregon, Washington, Connecticut, Maine, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Nevada. They have taken state championship medals in Vermont, Utah, Colorado, Virginia, and Kansas. Boys who don't pretend to be girls have also "won" girls' state titles in Massachusetts, New York, Iowa, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. Even though "it's not happening," everywhere it's allowed to happen, it happens.

USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving. Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free. I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these." "They just come with the table, man." They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner. This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat. I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared. "Did we…?" "Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless." Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined. My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude." Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man. I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy. Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived. I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most. Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.

Bad men will manufacture respectability to get away with sexual assault. I've seen it before. I've been through it before. Why do people keep falling for it!? It's enraging. I stand with Kallie Keeler.

It would be one thing to refuse to prosecute sexual assault/digital rape by the other player in this case because it is difficult to ascertain intent. It is another thing entirely to claim that female athletes consent to a risk of sexual assault by agreeing to compete. Males must not be allowed to compete against girls and girls must not be forced to tolerate sexual assault as a consequence of competition.
NEW: Prosecutors say they will not charge trans wrestler with alleged sexual assault of Kallie Keeler because of "case law concerning consent in athletic contests." If only the state of Washington had given Kallie the option to consent to being touched by a male.

Ireland šŸ‡®šŸ‡Ŗ This is Irish dancing, it’s known around the world as part of Ireland’s culture, its history, its heritage. We’re not just going to bow down to the EU and hand that culture over to African migrants who can’t even speak English never mind Irish. They’ve bitten off more than they can chew in Ireland, there’s a lot of fight left in our little country. Don’t count the Irish out just yet ā˜˜ļøšŸ‡®šŸ‡Ŗ Follow us and share with your followers

Indeed. It doesn’t matter if the fingers are male or female, it’s sexual assault. And if people defend this as a normal thing in wrestling, then wrestling needs a hard drive check.
Replying to @nicolelampert
There is no sport in which any woman or girl consents to digital penetration of her vagina by an opponent. This decision is despicable.

To use a leftie term, I’m feeling especially triggered by the response to what happened to Kallie Keeler. All the anon accounts screeching that it's a normal part of wrestling, just an "oil check" (an illegal move by the way, that this was not), that she's too wimpy and weak to be a wrestler if she can't handle it. Bullshit. She was assaulted. A man stuck his fingers inside her vagina and held them there. This incident echoes dark patterns that I have witnessed and even been caught in the midst of for decades. Bad men will hide behind shields of respectability while abusing girls and women in plain sight. As a former gymnast and whistleblower, I see the parallels to Larry Nassar immediately. Nassar hid behind the respectability of his medical degree and his role as USA Gymnastics team doctor. After he abused young female athletes for 30 years, finally women came forward in droves to report the assaults. Those victims were attacked for months until there were too many to ignore. My coach hid behind his "coach" title, while claiming to keep athletes safe as a spotter, then molesting in plain view. Athletes were shamed into silence. Predators will exploit any opening to find, abuse and assault their victims.

Hello all. A quick update from me. My sex screen assay is progressing well. I promised rapid: I can detect SRY from a cheek swab in about 30 minutes. I am currently testing whether I can drop it to 10 minutes without compromising reliability. I promised cheap: The current cost per assay is about Ā£2. I am currently testing whether I can drop this to below the pound line, and it’s very promising. I promised accessible: The assay could be run by any grassroots sports coach, school nurse, and my Mum. I promised on-site: This is where my lab efforts are currently focussed. I’ve always held ā€œfrom the UK to Ugandaā€ as a principle, and ensuring easy deployment is crucial. I’m currently learning a lot of materials science… The other main push is setting up various blinded, larger-scale tests. This will require lots of form filling. If anyone wants to help me hit my final budget target, my crowdfunder is here.
Every girl deserves a fair chance in sports. Developing a rapid, low-cost sex screening method can protect women’s categories and promote equality. Your support can make this vision a reality. Please share and consider donating to help fund this crucial research! gofund.me/632105634

"offensive touching/penetration was a direct by-product of the game" 1. False - a boy disguising himself as a girl and then sexually touching an opponent during a girls' wrestling match is certainly not a by-product of girls' wrestling. 2. This creates a loophole in which any man can intentionally sexually assault a woman during a mixed or co-ed athletic event under the guise of it being "a by-product of the game" They continue to disregard the safety and dignity of women and girls.

A 15-year-old girl who had loved wrestling since she was four got put on a mat against a fucking male while the adults in charge knew exactly what they were doing. She didn’t know. They did. By the end of that match she was sobbing and running to her mother after getting digitally raped through her singlet. She still had to shake the bastard’s hand. Her own coaches just walked the fuck away. Her mother reported it the next day like any decent parent would. The law and their own policy said report it to the Title IX coordinator immediately and get law enforcement involved within 48 hours. These gutless fucks did nothing for 53 days. Fifty-three fucking days of silence while they protected their precious policy and kept letting males into girls’ sports. Only when a journalist started asking questions did these cowards suddenly remember how to do their fucking jobs. The next day they finally filed the report. The principal had the balls to call the mother afterward and say they take this shit ā€œvery seriously.ā€ Seriously? You spineless pricks sat on a sexual assault complaint for nearly two months and only moved when the press showed up. And what did it cost? The girl quit wrestling. A sport she’d loved since she was four years old. She quit because she no longer trusted the adults in charge to protect her. Students bullied the shit out of her after the story broke and not one coach or administrator lifted a finger to stop it. They protected the policy. They protected their own asses. They left the girl to carry it alone. Fuck every last one of them. (article below)

ā€¼ļøWinnersā€¼ļø The Tronche Meylan women's basketball team is now the national championship title holder after they defeated Toulouse MĆ©tropole three weeks ago in the Ligue Feminine 2, a professional women's basketball league in France. Meylan's star player is a 43-year old man named "Aurore" Pautou. He lead the "women's" team in both points and rebounds. Pautou, with no prior high-level experience in the men's division and no collegiate record to speak of, walked onto a women's pro team at 38 years of age. With this title, Tronche Meylan has been promoted to the top tier of women's professional basketball in France for the next season.

This 15 year old girl was nonconsenually and unknowingly touched, groped, and violated by a man. This is beyond a civil offense. In a just society, every adult who allowed for this scenario to play out would be criminally charged.
This is a sexual assault—unknowingly captured by a mom filming her daughter’s wrestling match. Kallie didn’t know her opponent was male. But she knew something was very wrong. Today @ADFLegal helped Kallie sue the WA officials who placed gender ideology above her safety. šŸ§µā¬‡ļø

Appalling 🧵 I want those who champion men in women’s sport to explain why they’re happy to put girls at risk like this.

Elite female athletes KNOW that men are stronger and faster. Why not full throatedly, unequivocally stand up for the protection of women's sports? Just do it.
The best female athletes in the world know. Men don't belong in women's sports. Why can't everyone just say it?

I'm a cardiologist. A 42-year-old mother of two came to my office complaining of jaw pain and crushing fatigue. She ran half-marathons. Her EKG was normal. Another doctor had sent her home with anxiety medication. When I got her into the cath lab, I found severe microvascular disease — plaque choking the tiniest vessels of her heart, the ones standard angiograms routinely miss. Her heart had been starving in silence while everyone told her she was stressed. She is alive today. Too many women like her are not. Heart disease kills more women than every cancer combined. And medicine is still diagnosing it through a male lens. 84% of cardiologists report having patients in the past year whose heart disease was misdiagnosed by another physician. Women with a STEMI heart attack have a 59% greater chance of being misdiagnosed compared to men. Women with an NSTEMI — 41% greater chance. The reason is structural. For decades, we screened, tested, and treated women using a template built for men. Men's heart attacks announce themselves — the crushing chest pain, the clutched fist, the Hollywood collapse. Women's hearts whisper. Crushing fatigue that feels like wearing a lead vest. Jaw pain written off as TMJ. Nausea blamed on a stomach bug. An ache between the shoulder blades blamed on a long week. Shortness of breath blamed on being out of shape. For years, medicine called these "atypical" symptoms. They are not atypical. They are female-typical. Half of humanity is not a variant. And the biology runs deeper than symptoms. Women have smaller hearts and narrower coronary arteries. Plaque doesn't only clog the big highway vessels — it hides in the microvasculature, the tiny branches feeding the heart muscle itself. A woman can have a heart attack with a completely "clean" standard angiogram. SCAD — spontaneous coronary artery dissection — occurs 90% of the time in women. Often young, fit women with zero traditional risk factors. It's the leading cause of heart attack in women under 50, accounting for roughly one quarter of all cases in that age group. Most doctors have never diagnosed one. And some of the most dangerous cardiac risk factors are hidden in women's medical histories where no one thinks to look: Preeclampsia or gestational hypertension doubles to quadruples lifetime heart disease and stroke risk. Pregnancy is the body's first cardiac stress test — and these complications are early warning sirens, not closed chapters. Autoimmune disease — lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis — far more common in women, turbocharges inflammation and plaque formation at any age. Cardiovascular disease in women aged 20-44 is projected to surge nearly 50% by 2050. The youngest patients in my practice keep getting younger. What every woman should ask her doctor — and what every doctor should be asking: "Given my pregnancy history, autoimmune status, and family history — what is my full cardiovascular risk?" If they don't ask about preeclampsia or gestational diabetes, volunteer it. "Should I have an Lp(a) test and a coronary calcium score?" Standard cholesterol panels miss too much. Lp(a) is genetic, one-time, and most women have never been tested. "My tests came back normal but my symptoms haven't stopped — what's next?" Normal stress tests and angiograms can miss microvascular disease, spasm, and SCAD. Persistent symptoms warrant coronary CT angiography or cardiac MRI. And if something feels wrong — say these exact words to your doctor: "I am concerned this could be my heart." That single sentence changes the workup. Do not soften it. Do not apologize for it. 80% of heart disease is preventable. But the playbook has to be built for female biology. Two decades ago, I wrote one of the first books warning that heart disease was the number one killer of women and that medicine was diagnosing it through a male lens. It was recognized by First Lady Laura Bush at the White House during the early years of the national conversation about women's heart health. I'm haunted by how much of that book I could republish today unchanged. The science has advanced. The awareness has grown. But the gap between what we know and what happens in the exam room is still costing women their lives. Share this with every woman you love — and every doctor who treats them.
