An important memorial event bringing together communities and friends from across East Africa 🌍

Today, @IsraelinKenya and @IsraelinEthiopia jointly hosted Mr. Rob Fransman, a Holocaust survivor, for a virtual gathering from across East Africa in commemoration of #Holocaust Remembrance Day also known as #YomHaShoah.
Mr. Fransman's deeply moving story - surviving the Holocaust as a hidden child and growing up postwar as an orphan in foster care -shed light on the horrors endured during that time. His journey is a powerful testament to inner strength, resilience, and an enduring hope for a better future, which continues to inspire his advocacy and voice.
While expressing concern over the persistence of antisemitism in today’s world, his message was clear: we must stand firmly against all forms of racism, prejudice, hatred, and discrimination.
Ambassadors of @IsraelinKenya, @gideonbehar, and of @IsraelinET, Dr. @AvrahamNeguise, emphasized that “Never Again” must not remain just words—it must be a call to action.

Gideon Behar: We acted in self-defense for us and we have seen Iran developing a comprehensive strategy to destroy Israel, dominate the Middle East and to threaten all moderate countries in the region by doing 3 things: Developing atomic bombs, ballistic missiles capable to launch atomic bombs against Israel or any other country that does not comply with what this regime wants and the third is to support terrorist organizations throught the region and beyond.
