Finally got through to @WGBpl for tickets for @BowlingForSoup. I can buy an access ticket but it doesn't guarantee a platform place, that'll be first come first served. So, I can pay £40 for a ticket, turn up but may have to leave cos I can't stand all night! No BFS for me again!
Hi @WGBpl I'm trying to book access tickets but the stated number rings out and asks me to call an 0844 no. which charges 7p/min. Is that the number that I have to call? And if so, why, as a disabled person am I penalised when buying tickets.
I filled in the form on the website for a call back at @WGBpl own convenience and then spotted that they only check this "at least 3 times per week". That's dead helpful for an event that is likely to sell quickly... How is any of this in any way equitable to non-disabled people
I put it on the 16th of May! A calendar in the app that automatically adds appointments with reminders would definitely help. Although a lot of my appointments are outsourced to private clinics (hate that someone is making money out of my illness!)...(3of4)
and the referrals, appointments and even test results don't show in the app at all!! It's really frustrating, even if I could link it to my google calendar, it would make a huge difference to my appointment anxiety!. (4of4)
New wheels day! My experience with #Motability has been great (although I can't speak to the experiences of others) and having a car again is going to be awesome! The walker/rollator is going to help me be more independent and spend more time out. Win/win! #Disabilitytwitter
Just discovered I paid VAT on the walker I ordered earlier, "that's a bit off" I thought since you don't pay VAT on private school fees. On checking, if I fill in a form and send it to Amazon I can get my VAT back. Thought this might help others. #MS#Disabled#DisabilityTwitter
Heading to Alton Towers for the night with the family. We have Merlin passes and got a carers pass for my wife but unfortunately the RAP were all gone. How do people find navigating Alton Towers with mobility probs? Any tips? #MS#MultipleSclerosis#DisabilityTwitter
Had a look at my own medication intake 4015 a year for me although that looks likely to change in the near future. At the minute it's 5 in the am 6 in the pm! No wonder I rattle when I walk 😂
MS is... swallowing over 3,000 pills and injecting yourself 156 times every year and thinking it's completely normal. And that's just to ease symptoms and slow the progress of the condition, not to do anything crazy like cure it. #BallsToMStheMemoir#MultipleSclerosis#MS
Today the UK government went Infront of a UN committee to explain it's poor treatment of disabled people, they went for the Lord Melchett approach, i.e. a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through. Went about as well as you'd expect.
