Tufts Children's Hospital, which began life as a floating hospital ship in Boston Harbor in 1894, is converting its inpatient pediatric beds to adult ICU and med/surg beds.

A2. Firearm injuries don't affect children equally. Black children teens are dying at a rate 4x more than their peers and American Indian Hispanic children are disproportionately affected by suicide. We must tailor our approach to meet the needs of ALL children. #SaferStorage

Black & Hispanic teens MUCH more likely to be exposed to @gunviolence than White, even after accounting for income. It shouldn't need to be said, but a child's race should NOT determine how much violence/trauma they will suffer. #SaferStorage @CIRPatNCH
