Had the privilege of meeting J. C. D. Prabhakar @JCDPrabhakar sir today and presenting him a copy of my book Inside the War Room. In today’s political landscape, it is rare to come across leaders who combine simplicity, humility, administrative experience, political sharpness and human warmth so effortlessly. JCD sir remains one of the finest and most gentle human beings I have met in public life - a man with immense class, immense patience and an openness to listen to new ideas and perspectives, irrespective of age or background. A tireless worker, he made sincere and wholehearted efforts to bring unity within the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam during one of its most challenging phases. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts, circumstances did not move in that direction. Eventually, he chose to join Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam @TVKVijayHQ and, even when offered a completely new constituency, accepted the challenge with confidence and went on to win, which speaks volumes about his grassroots connect, adaptability and political credibility. A leader trusted deeply by both Dr. M. G. Ramachandran and Mdm. J. Jayalalithaa, he built that goodwill over decades through loyalty, discipline, hard work and an exceptional understanding of public life. I personally believe Honorable Chief Minister Vijay @CMOTamilnadu @TVKVijayHQ has made the right choice in entrusting him with the responsibility of Honorable Speaker of the Assembly.
