Michael Gove - editor of the Spectator, Orwell Prize judge & overseer of the biggest electoral fraud in modern UK history - apparently upset that I called out his boss’s investment in Palantir after he ran a sycophantic pro-Palantir piece
While I do accept that @carolecadwalla does know something about journalists harming their own reputations, the idea that she can sit in judgment on @TrevorPTweets is risible - it’s like Erich von Daniken dissing Niels Bohr

NEW: Why did Nigel Farage throw the 2019 ‘Brexit’ election for Boris Johnson? What does it have to do with Harborne’s £5m gift? And why is it tearing apart Britain’s far-right parties? A @thenerve_news investigation by me & @LuciaOC_ (Link below) 1/ #TheHarborneReceipts

You would not be surprised to learn that Hannah Spencer’s “£2000 Gucci shirt” is actually a random find from a charity shop Don’t believe everything billionaires tell you.

@labourlewis Symptoms of the neoliberal mind virus infection financial architecture of the economy are everywhere, but none more visible than by viewing the British pubs crisis through a different lens to expose the #GreatBritishPubcoScam for what it is x.com/sunanddoves/status/206…

The many takes flying around about John Healey, resignation gossip and national security spending miss a fundamental point. In Finland, where people have a strong social safety net and a real sense of shared national purpose, around 80% say they would be prepared to defend their country. In the UK, that figure is closer to 30%. That should tell us something. Until we change the financial architecture of our economy and bring the essentials of life out of the grip of corporate extraction and into public ownership, we will always be told to choose between bombs and butter. But the reality is we need both. Modern hybrid warfare means every public service is part of our national resilience. Energy, water, housing, health, transport, food security and social care are not separate from defence. They are defence. If we want people to defend the country, we have to build a country people believe is worth defending. A thriving state. A fair economy. A society where everyone feels they have a stake. I spoke about this on Peston on Monday night.

30 years ago Guy Hands left Goldman Sachs for Nomura Bank to confect the financial and financialisation architecture of the #GreatBritishPubcoScam to leverage debt to create the cultural and social asset stripping machines called pubcos that render OUR pubs to alternative use

This is Maginot Line thinking for a blitzkrieg world. Hybrid warfare means we need to move beyond the zero-sum and self-defeating narrative of warfare vs welfare. Hybrid warfare means we need resilient armed forces alongside a resilient society & economy.
Al Carns, who quit last night as armed forces minister, says there is an argument about whether welfare cuts could fund defence spending ‘The reality is we are fighting amongst each other to get more money for the key unifying principle of any government which is to protect this nation ‘We have got to be find more money. There is an argument about welfare. I am a firm believer that it’s about hands up, not a hand out. But we need to help the people who need the most help within the nation but also get the balance right on defence’

And food production must be part of defence. A country which cannot feed itself is not secure.

The truth is there is less violence on the streets of Britain than ever before. These incidents are deeply tragic. But worse still is those seeking to use them to reek yet more evil upon Britain. Fight fascism, always.

BBC News team make an incredible discovery: “I think we’ve found him… In the deep crevice just above. Keep climbing a few feet higher chaps…don’t mention the £5m gift and we should be able to entice Nigel Farage from his hiding place for an interview…”
