"Previously, the worst place that you'd want to be is in the middle. It's not like you're truly contending... you're not low enough from an odds standpoint to realize a top pick.
Yes, of course you can find talent all over the draft, there's plenty of examples. But historically, the likelihood of getting a player who can change the complextion of your franchise is found at the top of the draft.
But now, it's not going to be the case anymore from the standpoint of the odds shifting. Now, being in the middle is not necessarily a bad thing... I think teams are still trying to figure out how to value those picks, especially in the future."
