Yesterday Court dismissed former IGG Beti Kamyaโs defamation case against former Ethics Minister Miria Matembe. Like Justice Mulenga said in Obbo&Mwenda V AG, the protection of guaranteed rights (in that case, freedom of expression) is the primary objective. Limitation of these rights is secondary. To all those leaders and institutions that want to gag us and shield themselves from criticism, any progressive Judiciary will uphold freedom of expression over your sentiments. Cc the๐ฆ that is demanding that @SpireJim be sent to prison for simply being a mouthpiece of countless victims.

The money allocated for donations and CSR to DEPUTY SPEAKER alone is ENOUGH to pay the 10 billion shs required for medical interns per financial year.
While money for SPEAKER is enough to pay for all senior house officers as well and return the BALANCE to HIM!

The 12th parliament of Uganda should pass a bill to have speaker elected by people of Uganda rather than being recommended by the executive.
This gives speaker independence from executive, a principle tenet in our constitution for independence across three arms of government.
