Post-election commentary re the Greens is engaging in some obnoxious over-simplifications. Statewide, the Greens vote was pretty stable. It dropped slightly in areas where the majors spent a lot of money attacking us, and rose in many areas where they didn't bother. 1/2

'I support your cause but not your method' is the same line recycled every time Lidia or any progressive engages in protest that's disruptive. Protest is powerful because it's disruptive. Take away the disruption and you take away the power of protest.

There is no way Lidia would have gotten so much media coverage, including interviews like this one, if she hadn't engaged in peaceful protest against the king's visit. Anyone who claims the protest was counter-productive doesn't understand the point of protest.
