Nordic markets are leading shift to EV and Toyota is performing well 🔝
In January EV mix was:
🔌 96% in Norway up from 92% last year
🔌64% in Denmark up from 35% last year
🔌29% in Sweden up from 28% last year
🔌29% in Finland up from 24% last year
The electrification of the passenger car fleet in Norway and Denmark continues at a good pace!
In Denmark EV share has increase from 35% last year! Both countries prove that strong incentives and a deliberate, consistent strategy and policies are absolutely crucial if we are to succeed in electrifying the car fleet. A greener car fleet is an important part of the green shift, and the share of electric cars in the Nordic countries clearly shows that political support and incentives are needed to support this development.
New car sales in Norway in January ended with 9,343 new passenger cars, just over 82% more than last year. In Denmark, which has a fairly similar number of new cars as Norway, the increase was 23%, while in Sweden the increase was 14%. In Finland, new car sales fell by 13% compared to January 2024.
It is great to see that both in Norway and Denmark Toyota BZ4X was best selling car! That's amazing achievement! FORZA TOYOTA
