“Set me on a silver sun, for I know that I'm free; Show me that I'm everywhere, and get me home for tea” My cousin Jeremy, 44, passed away this month just two years after being diagnosed with ALS. People as pure as he was don’t deserve this. als.org/

There’s this great moment in the fourth installment of the Louis C.K./Shane Gillis podcast series on the presidents where Louis has been talking at length about all these memories he has of various presidents and then they get to Clinton and Shane, who is much younger, says, “OK, this is about where I start to become conscious of things” and Louie just keeps repeating, “man, that’s so crazy to me.” For Louis, Clinton is a sea change, a wild break from everything that had happened politically in the 1980s. But for Shane, it’s basically the start of the universe. Everything begins at that moment. Everything before is from a history book. I think this is a big part of why so many intergenerational discussions about politics go awry. It’s like people are turning on the movie at different points.

Ok I hate the “stolen election” stuff from the president BUT why keep asking him? It’s not exactly news that he thinks it’s stolen. The question seems performative, merely to elicit the reaction he delivered
That is some wild, unhinged stuff from the President. Welker is a good person and honest journalist and didn’t deserve that but more importantly we have a president who constantly pushes conspiracy theories with zero evidence and can’t respond when politely challenged on that.

Give me a break. I worked at Viacom/CBS (now Paramount) for over a decade. Of course, it was 90% Democrats. Everyone knows this. Everyone. And newsrooms in particular vote Democrat to a higher degree than Berkeley, California. And you know what? Fine. I have lots of friends with whom I disagree from my time there. It was a great place, actually. To act as if this claim about bias is controversial, let alone inaccurate, shows that he’s either a liar, an imbecile, or so deeply incurious and tunnel-visioned that you don’t belong anywhere near any job involving information discernment. But he’s got that familiar anchor voice, so we’re supposed to act like he’s not being a complete clown. Give me a break. You people are a mess.
Scott Pelley says Bari Weiss asked 60 Minutes staffers: “Why do you think the country thinks you’re biased?" Pelley: "Why do you think so? Do you have a poll? Is there market research? What are you talking about?" "Because we certainly didn't believe that." Incredible.

“We at the network want a 60 Minutes with attitude. It’s edgy. It’s in your face. You’ve heard the expression, ‘Let’s get busy’? Well this is a 60 Minutes that gets biz-zay, consistently and thoroughly.”

Tobacco giant Philip Morris acquired General Foods in 1985, when Lunchables was in development. The cigarette maker relied on flavor technology and market research from tobacco to maximize the snack kit’s appeal to children. kqed.org/news/12086137/heres…

Toy Story 2 had a beautiful short scene that explained Jessie's backstory without a single word. This is the most unnecessary shit ever.
Andrew Stanton says the main reason he wanted to do ‘TOY STORY 5’ was to explore Jessie in a central role. “I think a lot of us felt it was kind of overdue… she has the most backstory of any of them.”

The best part of writing Agent Cody Banks was getting Keith David to tell us behind the scenes stories from making The Thing, one of which included the line "And then John Carpenter walked in...MAD AS A MOTHERFUCKER."
Keith David gets emotional and says he’s “living his dream” while accepting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “I started out as a singer, then I wanted to be a preacher, and I wanted to be a lawyer and a bank president. Then I discovered I could be an actor and be all those things.” variety.com/2026/tv/focus/ke…

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a softball hit like this. This might be the best softball swing i’ve ever seen.
