Candidate for Governor of Florida | Husband & Dad | Lieutenant Governor DeSantis Appointed | Conservative Fighter from Tampa, Florida | Army Green Beret (ret)
The chairman of the party should not be insulting the intelligence of Republican voters. A debate was promised and these ridiculous criteria are being used to renege on that promise and to engineer a preferred outcome.
Why not just take 90 minutes, find a tv partner, and let the candidates mix it up?
The only reason why you wouldn’t is if the party hierarchy is serving outside interests instead of the best interests of the voters.
Couldn’t agree with our Governor more.
Let’s not insult the voters’ intelligence.
Debates are not going to be the end all be all for this race.
That said, if @ByronDonalds can’t show up to one, and if he keeps hiding behind the RPOF, voters need to take notice.

Other states are watching what Florida is doing because our policies work.
We won't apologize for defending freedom, supporting families, and putting citizens first.
Every Floridian deserves to feel safe in their community.
Supporting law enforcement and holding criminals accountable will always be a cornerstone of my administration.
And just as importantly, Floridians deserve a voice in choosing their leaders, not an outcome decided before the voters have their say. Your vote matters this Primary.
Whether we're talking about debates, policy, or the future of our state, I haven't lost sight of what matters most.
Families are feeling the squeeze from rising costs. My focus remains on lowering costs, expanding opportunity, and ensuring Florida remains a place where families can build a future.
Governor DeSantis didn't appoint me because I knew the right people.
He appointed me because of a lifetime of service, leadership, and delivering results under pressure.
That's the same approach I'll bring to the Governor's Office.
Your vote should decide this primary. Not an engineered outcome. Not a coronation.
I wasn't appointed because I spent my career climbing the political ladder.
I was appointed because I served, led, and delivered. I was appointed because I'm Florida first.
Florida needs more problem-solvers and fewer politicians. Florida voters deserve a governor who was handpicked by Ron DeSantis, not an 'engineered outcome.'
Florida voters deserve a debate.
Instead, the newly announced criteria mean there may not be a debate at all.
Governor Ron DeSantis says there should be a debate. I agree. Florida doesn't need an 'engineered outcome'.
Let's have the debate.

Apprenticeships are one of the best investments we can make.
They connect people with real jobs, real skills, and real paychecks while helping employers fill critical workforce shortages.
That's a win for everyone.
Leadership starts with service.
I've spent my life serving this country, and I'll continue serving the people of Florida with that same mission-first mindset.
Seniors built the Florida we enjoy today.
As costs continue to rise, we have a responsibility to ensure they can live safely, affordably, and with dignity in the communities they helped build.
Washington has enough politicians who avoid scrutiny.
Florida deserves better.
This election should be decided by informed voters after hearing directly from the candidates seeking to lead this great state.
Let's debate.

Faith gives us purpose.
Family gives us strength.
Opportunity gives us a future.
Florida has become the model for the nation because we've fought to protect all three.
As governor, I'll continue building a state where families can thrive, communities can grow, and every Floridian has the opportunity to succeed.
FL's @GovRonDeSantis criticizes the @FloridaGOP's debate criteria, saying the party should not “engineer an outcome” in the governor’s primary:
“There should be a debate... having an open process and having people be able to have their say is always better.”

Governor DeSantis understands something that too many politicians have forgotten:
Not every successful career requires a four-year degree.
Florida needs skilled workers to keep our state running.
Expanding workforce training and apprenticeships helps create opportunity for Floridians while meeting critical workforce needs across our state.
That's a foundation worth building on.
Florida’s first responders put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe.
I had the opportunity to tour a local fire station in Brevard County, meet with the men and women who serve on the front lines, and discuss how we can continue supporting those who answer the call when Floridians need them most.
Faith.
Family.
Freedom.
These aren't just words. They're the foundation of Florida's success.
Thank you, Governor DeSantis, for recognizing June as Faith and Family Month.
Let's keep Florida strong.
When disaster strikes, first responders answer the call.
Florida will always back the men and women who protect our communities, save lives, and put service above self.
Scammers target seniors because they think they're vulnerable.
I think they've picked the wrong state.
We need stronger enforcement, tougher penalties, and better education to protect Florida seniors from fraud, identity theft, and financial exploitation.
If you target our seniors, we'll come after you.
