Ted is lying. The AMPTP refuses to even speak to the WGA or SAG/AFTRA - both unions are able to negotiate during a strike.

You are not crossing picket lines by watching tv and movies. This isn’t a situation where any union has organized a boycott. Actors not promoting their work is a nuanced strike point re: not working for a struck entity - not intended to dissuade people from watching things.

Often when I go to Netflix or Amazon or any streamer, I see network shows in their top TV category. Suits, The Office, Friends, Seinfeld, Grey's Anatomy, etc. I don't think this is just nostalgia. I think people WANT 22 episode seasons! (1/4)

I really don't get the whole "calling us sheep" bit. NO ONE is telling us to mask: not our government, not public health, not our friends and family, not our employers. LITERALLY fucking no one is telling us to mask. So how are we sheep? How are we "followers"?

Good on SAG for releasing these like the WGA did a few months ago. It’s wild to see actors being disrespected as much and in some cases more than we are. The AMPTP is not only “far apart” on these issues — it’s insulting to the point of breaking an entire industry.

The strikes will impact LA’s economy. People are struggling to find work. Small business is hurting too.
But that’s just a glimpse of what will happen here if the studios continue their rapid disinvestment in their workforce — and those impacts will be permanent.
