Chris D’elia is so unfunny it’s actually painful. Who keeps giving this groomer and SAer a platform to do “comedy” in 2023?

Ted is lying. The AMPTP refuses to even speak to the WGA or SAG/AFTRA - both unions are able to negotiate during a strike.

You are not crossing picket lines by watching tv and movies. This isn’t a situation where any union has organized a boycott. Actors not promoting their work is a nuanced strike point re: not working for a struck entity - not intended to dissuade people from watching things.
I'll be skipping the Barbie pre-screening tonight in DC. Crossing the picket line is out of the question.
  @WGAEast, @WGAWest & @sagaftra deserve fair pay & benefits for their labor.

Often when I go to Netflix or Amazon or any streamer, I see network shows in their top TV category. Suits, The Office, Friends, Seinfeld, Grey's Anatomy, etc. I don't think this is just nostalgia. I think people WANT 22 episode seasons! (1/4)

I really don't get the whole "calling us sheep" bit. NO ONE is telling us to mask: not our government, not public health, not our friends and family, not our employers. LITERALLY fucking no one is telling us to mask. So how are we sheep? How are we "followers"?

In addition to how cruel this is to humans, this is also really bad for the trees. #SAGAFTRAstrong #WGAstrong
Quick shoutout to the good people at @UniversalPics for trimming the trees that gave our picket line shade right before a 90 degree week.

Reminder: This is while we had a deal. And there are countless others currently being arbitrated and or investigated by our union. So, regardless of what we’re asking for and get, the AMPTP still lie, cheat and steal. That’s their business model. thewrap.com/netflix-wga-writ…

Good on SAG for releasing these like the WGA did a few months ago. It’s wild to see actors being disrespected as much and in some cases more than we are. The AMPTP is not only “far apart” on these issues — it’s insulting to the point of breaking an entire industry.

The strikes will impact LA’s economy. People are struggling to find work. Small business is hurting too. But that’s just a glimpse of what will happen here if the studios continue their rapid disinvestment in their workforce — and those impacts will be permanent.

This is a turning point. We will either look back on this as the moment we made the choice to invest in our industry and our people — to believe in LA and take pride in shaping culture worldwide. Or the moment we gave all that up for short-term shareholder returns.

If you live in LA, even if you don’t work in entertainment — if you love this city and want to stay here and see it thrive — support the striking workers if you can. Follow their leadership. Support their community funds. Get on the line. Because they’re fighting for you too.
