Across London, recent antisemitic incidents have had a real impact on community confidence & daily life.
Creating a dedicated Community Protection Team is an important operational step. What matters now is visible policing across the capital that people can recognise and trust
“Yesterday, the Board of Deputies and the Jewish Leadership Council launched a new policy document, Protect, Prosecute, Partner, with ten urgent actions for government to stop the ongoing pattern of antisemitic attacks. One of these priorities was greater resourcing for police to deter attackers and reassure our community. Together with the London Jewish Forum we welcome today's news that the Metropolitan Police, with new government funding, is to create a dedicated Community Protection Team for Jewish communities across London.”
