At a time of heightened tensions, this judgment reinforces an important principle: political disagreement must never become intimidation, criminal damage or threats to community safety.
The Board of Deputies of British Jews welcomes today’s decision by the Court of Appeal to uphold the Government's proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist group.

A synagogue is more than a place of worship. It is a community hub. Activities that make people feel intimidated when attending Jewish communal venues have consequences far beyond a single event.
We are deeply disturbed at the wholly unjustified protest called for this morning outside a synagogue. We are calling on the police to ensure such protests are kept a significant distance from places of worship to prevent intimidation to members of the Jewish community.

For Jewish Londoners, this goes to the heart of trust in public services. We want an NHS that is safe, welcoming and accountable for everyone, and the Mann report’s call for stronger accountability, better data and mandatory training is a welcome step forward.
We are supporting all of the recommendations from Lord Mann's review to tackle antisemitism and other forms of racism across the NHS. This will mean that both NHS patients and staff will be better protected against hate. See the recommendations in full: gov.uk/government/news/lord-…

We joined colleagues from @BTP & @TellMamaUK at Liverpool St station to raise awareness about rising hate crime in London, particularly antisemitism & Islamophobia. With antisemitic incidents doubling since 2022, it is more important than ever to report hate wherever you see it

After years of campaigning, we welcome TfLs decision to make the 310 bus route permanent, extend it to Stamford Hill and run later into the evening from Aug 2026. A major step forward for safer, more accessible transport between Golders Green & Stamford Hill. @TfL @MayorofLondon

Across London, recent antisemitic incidents have had a real impact on community confidence & daily life. Creating a dedicated Community Protection Team is an important operational step. What matters now is visible policing across the capital that people can recognise and trust
“Yesterday, the Board of Deputies and the Jewish Leadership Council launched a new policy document, Protect, Prosecute, Partner, with ten urgent actions for government to stop the ongoing pattern of antisemitic attacks. One of these priorities was greater resourcing for police to deter attackers and reassure our community. Together with the London Jewish Forum we welcome today's news that the Metropolitan Police, with new government funding, is to create a dedicated Community Protection Team for Jewish communities across London.”
