People talk about water having an imprinted memory of where it's ever been and what it's been used for. More than likely accurate. Soil also obviously has an imprinted memory stretching deep into antiquity. As go our soils, so go our souls. Take care of the ground, be grateful.

.@ZachLahn: "In the past 10 years, the top five agricultural companies have made $150 billion in profit. They've spent $1 billion lobbying Washington DC and, at the same time, we've lost 200,000 family farms in America... The table needs to be flipped on its head."

Given the widespread use of glyphosate-based herbicides globally, our results have significant implications for public health policy & regulatory decision-making. The hormonal disruptions we identified suggest that pregnant populations may be particularly vulnerable to glyphosate

MAHA is watching closely to see how Republicans in Senate handle the pesticide crisis in the Farm Bill.
"As they negotiate the farm bill in coming weeks, senators must decide whether they stand with the chemical industry status quo or with the growing bipartisan coalition of Americans demanding change." thehill.com/opinion/congress…

“United we stand, divided we fall.” The challenges we face won’t be solved by fighting each other - they’ll be solved by people willing to roll up their sleeves, have tough conversations, and get to work. There’s a lot more we can accomplish when we stop looking for enemies and start looking for solutions. United we are stronger. Divided we fall. Thank you Republican Party of Iowa for standing together to put #IowaFirst 🙌🏼

Reps Chellie Pingree and Jared Huffman wrote: “Given the recent scientific disputes, retracted studies, and litigation surrounding glyphosate due to serious ecological and health harms, we are deeply concerned by the alleged use of the herbicide and lack of information available regarding current and planned use.” Their letter asks critical questions: 🌲 How many acres of national forests are being sprayed? 💧 Have glyphosate residues been tested in soil, water, or wildlife? 🏕️ What protections exist for campers, hikers, firefighters, and nearby communities? 📊 Why isn’t there a public database showing where herbicides are being applied? 🌱 Have safer, non-chemical alternatives been evaluated? We are looking forward to hearing the response from the forest service.

Publisher investigating two more papers on #glyphosate safety over #Monsanto ghostwriting claims. @EPA cites both papers and reliance on one of the articles, in particular, has “unduly skewed the regulation and adjudication of glyphosate’s cancer risks.” retractionwatch.com/2026/06/…

Vote @ZachLahn The people who built Iowa thought in generations, not election cycles. They left us fertile soil, strong communities, and a state worth fighting for. With Zach’s vision now it’s our turn: • End Iowa’s cancer crisis. • Give our young people a reason to stay. • Put farmers before special interests. • Keep Iowa land in Iowa hands. Plant the seed. Do the work. Leave Iowa stronger than you found it. If you weren’t able to hear @ZachLahn speech today at the GOP convention the links are in the comments:

Washington’s costly war in Iran is driving up inflation, topping 4% for the first time in years. Yet Mike Rounds refuses to vote for — or against — the war. If he expects South Dakotans to face pain at the pump and checkout counter, he should at least cowboy up and take a stance.
