A few months ago, @FordCanada asked if I would share my experience with my F-150 Lightning. I was thrilled to have that opportunity. It was an amazing day where I got to meet and work with a fantastic team.

At the mall, my daughter tried to talk me into a matching McDonald’s shirt deal. I stood firm and said no thank you. ...Wait, was that a mistake? Should I have gone with it?😂
It’s just exhausting owning an EV. I had to go in and have the tires rotated! 😂 Almost 100,000 km and all I’ve done is a set of tires and washer fluid. They didn’t charge me, so I went back with some doughnuts for the technicians.
This is how we prepare the next generation for careers in the skilled trades, through training, resources, scholarships and more. Excited to have @Ford partner with @BloombergDotOrg to make a positive impact!
Detroit is a great American city — & the perfect place to announce @BloombergDotOrg's new partnership with @Ford, part of our $90 million initiative to train high school students in the skilled trades & create pathways for them to enter rewarding, in-demand careers.
It was great spending time with @MikeBloomberg & the students at the Breithaupt Career & Technical Center in Detroit, Michigan. This hands-on education is so valuable & makes me hopeful for the future! They’re the next generation of skilled tradespeople & they’re being taught by the experts themselves - instructors who’ve had careers as electricians, welders & HVAC techs, and worked in dealerships & auto shops. The $5M joint investment from @Ford & @BloombergDotOrg will not only support student programs but will help us recruit more teachers, more masters to inspire the next generation.

These students are the future of the Essential Economy. From welding to collision repair to auto service, they're getting a head start on the highly skilled jobs that the skilled trades are made of. At 17 years old, Yurem Sanchez Olvera already has two years of auto service experience as a student at Breithaupt Career & Technical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Because of exposure to programs like these, young people get to see a new set of opportunities for their future.
Thank you to the students for choosing the skilled trades! And thank you to the teachers, dealers, and schools working with @Ford and Bloomberg Philanthropies to revitalize America’s #EssentialEconomy.

Today, we announced @Ford’s new partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies to advance auto tech education at two Detroit Public Schools. We’re jointly investing $5 million to expand and modernize their programs, increasing capacity to train four times as many students for auto tech careers.
By 2029, the U.S. will need over 350,000 new auto techs. That’s why partnerships like this are essential to help the next generation get the resources and training they need to succeed. We want young people to see that these are viable paths to stable, rewarding careers.
Grateful for @BloombergDotOrg and @MikeBloomberg’s support in this important investment in their future! fromtheroad.ford.com/us/en/a…
86,209 miles on my 2022 F-150 Lightning Lariat ER
After running the numbers, I’ve saved roughly $11,000 in fuel costs compared to driving a similar gas-powered F-150.
86k miles later, I’d buy it again
