He still has scars
The wounds of Christ
For all to see
Remain in place
For you and me
He did not heal
His hands and feet
Nor hide where steel
And flesh did meet
He wears them there
Upon new flesh
His scars laid bare
To show us fresh
Our sin is dead
But still in view
His blood was shed
For me and you
Theology 101: For people who point out that Jesus was never married, I want to point out that he’s had the most high-maintenance bride in human history for almost 2000 years.
Why Cindy Crawford decided against a facelift (and what her husband told her instead) is winning hearts online. ❤
"I feel lucky that my husband is very, very against it. Because he's like, ‘You look beautiful. Why?!’ He doesn't even like makeup. He prefers me to wear no makeup.
I'll be like, 'But she looks so good,' and then I'm like, 'Okay wait, remind myself.'"
This is sociopathic.
Imagine being a billionaire, having more money than you can ever spend, and yet all you want is to become a trillionaire instead of solving climate change issues, global poverty, kids starving & homeless, etc.
You could give “the typical American” 11 MILLION years and they still would not create PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX, OpenAI, xAI, Neuralink, Boring Company, Ad Astra, all while single-handedly saving free speech for all mankind.
Mormons are like the sons of the business owner that moved to town a couple years ago. Yeah, they have money and they’re nice, but they act like they’ve been here since the beginning and say that it wasn’t really a town until they arrived.
They claim that your forefathers were so evil and incompetent that they couldn’t keep the town alive past the immediate successor of the founder of the town. However, thankfully their dad showed up to save everyone and he’s much better at succession planning than the original founder.
They also say that the founder of the town also founded their business… but in reality, he was really just a high-performing employee at a different branch of the company that moved up the corporate ladder. Nothing is known about his time at the other branch and the sons really wish you’d stop bringing it up. “We really don’t know how many founders there are, and it’s not our place to know”

While it’s all been rather fun, I do hope @hughlaurie takes the time to read my @unherd article (I’m sure he can stretch to a subscription).
Because while his witty riposte was genuinely amusing, one point I make in the piece is that it was shared with his 1.2 million followers on X. I have around 38,000.
That creates something of an imbalance - particularly given that the responses to my original post were overwhelmingly warm-hearted and affectionate towards the show.
The result has been some fairly horrific trolling. It turns out House fans are even more abusive than trans activists (and that’s saying something).
I have enough experience of the media to take it on the chin, as the saying goes. But someone without my background might have found the experience far more distressing.

Steven Spielberg on new 'Disclosure Day' movie about aliens,
Says it will make Christians question their faith,
"Is God our God only on this planet, or is God a God for every system where there's civilization?"
Wanting to use the Christian label without believing biblical Christian theology simply will not work. The fundamental beliefs of Mormonism about Jesus and Scripture are not the same as historic, orthodox Christianity. Paul warned about preaching a different Jesus. We affirm the Bible as the Word of God. This means we reject the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, or the Pearl of Great Price.
Can you believe, for instance, that Muhammad is not the prophet and still call yourself a Muslim? The vast majority of Muslims would say you cannot. For Christians, calling yourself a Christian while not believing that God has always existed as the triune Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is just as inconceivable. It may be unpopular to state your belief that a certain religious group is not actually Christian, but it is true.
