Whether at home, at school, or in medical settings, young people do best when they are recognized and accepted for who they are. We stand with the 2SLGBTQ community today and every day.

We had parents' rights when our kids were in WSD. Met with teachers regularly, could see principal or VP if there was an issue, could read curricula any time we wanted. It's become code for so many reprehensible things

No more PST in restaurant meals! Fantastic! Combined with the savings from not paying PST on flowers, this will save my family tens of dollars every year! #MbPoli

1 in 8 people in Winnipeg live in poverty. Minimum wage in Manitoba will soon be $15.30, which is still a WHOPPING $3.34/hr below a living wage, or $6947 short a year. Meaning people working full time will still be living in poverty but, hey, no PST at restaurants. - cont #mbpoli

Removing the PST from trees & flowers to ā€œgreenā€ communities? What? Also, let’s consider who spends significant $$ on flowers and trees. Hint: it’s not lower income folks with small or nonexistent yards. #MbPoli winnipeg.ctvnews.ca/manitoba…

Did you know mining is allowed in many Manitoba provincial parks? Other provinces are phasing out park mining, but Manitoba is approving (and funding) even more. With the race for critical minerals heating up, parks may be at risk. #mbpoli @WinnipegNews winnipegfreepress.com/breaki…

If a road test isn’t necessary upon completion of Driver Z now, why was it ever necessary? A better strategy might just be to negotiate a fair deal for employees to end the strike!

So… according to PP, we should ā€œstick to teaching math, reading, and writing.ā€ Ok. Cool. So, ⁦@PierrePoilievre⁩, shall we cancel science and social studies? How about sports? Stop intervening when kids are bullied? 1/? cbc.ca/news/politics/poiliev…

Kids can’t learn when they don’t feel safe. So since my job is focused on learning, it must necessarily also be to ensure kids feel safe. That includes respecting a kid’s right to share their identity when and how its right for them. It’s not for me to decide that. 1/?
