Of course Labor must accept responsibility for the damage it’s causing to places like Tuvalu by backing more coal and gas. It would be even better if Labor didn’t cause the damage in the first place and stopped approving new coal and gas mines.

Things likely to get uglier over delays & cost blow outs for Snowy 2.0. Unfortunately it scared off private sector investment in alternatives that would have been less risky & far easier & faster to build. 2 year gap b/w Eraring exit & 2.0 completion. newcastleherald.com.au/story…

This was the right decision by @Bowenchris The #Hunter Community was promised a power plant that runs on green hydrogen and that's what should now be delivered. We look forward to seeing Paul Broad replaced by someone who can deliver on this promise

"What is happening, big picture, is that climate change is intensifying both La Niñas, which lead to these big flood events, and El Niño, which is the opposite: we get droughts, heatwaves, and massive bushfires," Former Commissioner NSW Fire and Rescue, Greg Mullins. #auspol

Just a reminder of what #climate #inconvenience looks like… think on this if the #climate activists have delayed your commute. There’s an important message if you care to listen. #auspol

The rain event that flooded Lismore collapsed landscapes. It shattered hillsides. Roads broke apart and fell down valleys. Hillsides fell on houses. This thread gives a glimpse of the cost of inaction on #ClimateDisruption 1/

We don have a shortage of gas in the country. It’s just that we export most of it without concern for domestic supply. Of the gas we do export we get very little in royalties or tax. It criminal

We live in a country with abundant wind and solar energy but in 2022 Australians are still shackled to expensive coal, oil and gas.

The amount Elon Musk just paid for Twitter ($44 billion) is nearly equal to Biden’s proposed climate budget ($44.9 billion), in case anyone's wondering how seriously we’re taking the climate crisis

Ben Roberts-Smith's key defamation case rebuttal witness was in court this week, denying war crimes. Hours after he finished giving evidence, he was confronted by federal war crimes detectives. He's now in a court cell, charged with obstructing these detectives. Extraordinary.

Matt Canavan confirms what we should already know: this Government’s climate policy is dictated by a small fringe of extremists. Ask yourself, is that the government you want? Vote like your future depends on it. It does. #chaneyforcurtin #auspol #ClimateActionNow

RAY OF NOPE: An emotional Ray Hadley has reacted angrily after trying to skewer Anthony Albanese on old Labor quotes on China — only for Albo, who came prepared, to read out Scott Morrison and his cabinet's own quotes, which are identical to Labor's. #auspol
