Great to see @UKLabour voting to support the #righttofood at party conference. But families need support now. @Keir_Starmer @KateGreenSU do you agree that we need to expand #FreeSchoolMeals, holiday clubs and Healthy Start?

I found one of the blog posts about weight/poverty I wrote. Still valid, 3 years on, which is a shame.

Making healthy diets affordable was a key theme for @LordsFoodCom's Hungry for Change report & today's webinar. New analysis for our upcoming Broken Plate report shows the situation isn't improving - healthy foods are 3x as expensive as less healthy foods. Fruit & veg esp. pricey

Incredible to think that the government that dragged its heels for so long over providing £120 million summer meals to hungry kids will happily spend triple that - £500 million - for a gimmick of cutprice Nando's next month. Priorities, eh.

Point raised at #hungryforchange webinar by @Food_Foundation : Important to increase food and nutrition education. If we don't know how to use different ingredients,we won't buy it. @VegPowerUK is doing a great job at raising how to cook vegetables you may have not tried before.

Nutritionally poor foods tend to be cheaper, so people on low incomes will inevitably choose them. But can we please not forget that the real problem here is NOT poor food choices but insufficient income. That’s what needs tackling if diets are to improve. #hungryforchange
