Congrats to Prof. Joe Keddie (University of Surrey) for his outstanding work in colloid & interface science!
Join us for a one-day symposium on polymer colloids, ending with his award lecture. @UniOfSurrey@KeddieLab
📢 Call for posters! bit.ly/Rideal_lecture_2026
An important aim of the meeting is to provide early-career researchers an opportunity to present their research to the polymer colloids community. There will be flash poster presentations followed by a poster session.
Registration for this Symposium is now open. With generous sponsorship, the fees have been kept low. Please consider submitting an abstract for a (flash) poster. We'd love to see you there.

Thrilled to share our new paper in @NanoLetters! 🎉 We've found a way to speed up DNA nanomachines. By adding tiny "bulges" to DNA, we can accelerate the four-way branch migration. 🔬🧬

A multimillion-pound project could bring us closer to tackling plastic pollution.
Our researchers are working with packaging technology company @pulpexltd to advance next-generation sustainable paper-based packaging for liquids. We're also excited to announce our Institute for Sustainability (@SurreySustain) will be recruiting three post-doctoral researchers, along with a PhD student for the project.

Wonderful to see our upcoming work highlighted by the recent UK House of Lords report on #EngineeringBiology and to work with @EdinburghUni, @SBSatEd, @STVNews & @BBCNews to promote what can be achieved in this emerging field. Remember: waste is carbon, and therefore a resource.
How do we overcome our addiction to plastics, an addiction that is causing real harm to our planet? Well, @KeddieLab believes the answer can be found in paper bottles – and he's just won a prestigious @royalsociety Industry Fellowship to make this a reality. ow.ly/vCHY50T8tqw#SDGs#Environment

Had a great day @ the London Polymer Group meeting. Congrats 🙌 to @AlexiaBeale on a nice presentation, Bertie W-R on his @RSCApplied Poster Prize, & Grace for attending her first PhD conference! Thanks to @pratik_gurnani @ucl for organising.
Congratulations, Anastasiya! You gave a great talk to our Group, so it’s no surprise you’ve successfully defended your thesis. We’re happy that you’ve joined @SurreyMathsPhys to work with @WooliBae!
More celebrations for our group today as Dr Anastasiya Malyshava 🇧🇾 has successfully defended her PhD today on synthetic combinatorial minimisation of the yeast cell cycle control genes. 👩🎓 🍾 🎉 Well done Anastasiya!
It is nice to finally see this short review article on degradable PSAs out in print. It's the final publication from Rohani's (@Rohani_mrb) productive PhD research. We hope it will be useful for others who want to develop sustainable adhesives. @SurreySustain
