Stadiums and tech companies are your metric for living standard?
The gap in living standards between Europe and America is due to policy choices.
A lot of the investment that European World Cup tourists are now marveling at has become possible thanks to trillions in U.S. tech wealth.
That wealth is available to anyone who participates in the stock market, not just tech founders.
And Europe? It doesn’t have major tech companies. It regulates them out of existence.
They have an entire regulatory framework built — GDPR — around the imaginary problem of data privacy.
The results? No stadiums like ours in every city. No 24 hour gas stations with 50 types of food.

The European mind cannot handle that they just sort of suck. In every regard. Behind in technology, behind in behavior, sitting on a throne of self-perceived superiority.
They will only say negative things because it’s America. They’ve been brainwashed to think we’re stupid, evil, and the worst people.
Yet all the Europeans here have said nothing but how great the country is. How great we are as hosts. They’re having a blast and everyone is treating them well.
This will be one of the best World Cups ever and already is.
No matter how much they try to lie and seethe from their broken couch at home, we will all enjoy one of the best World Cups in years.
