Free public transit for youth! We at the AFL called for this in the Worker Agenda, a policy blueprint by working class people, for working class people. It would be great if one of our political parties picked up policies like this one. How about you, @nenshi?
Free youth transit is rolling out in Manitoba, and the pilot program starts in Selkirk. 🚌
This summer, Selkirk youth ride free and by this fall, free transit for everyone under 18 rolls out across Manitoba.
Making life more affordable and the environment a little greener, one bus ride at a time. 🦬

This should never have happened. My heart and thoughts are with the loved ones of the person who died, and all Albertans living with a disability.
Every Albertan deserves a life of dignity. But this government is always more focused on scoring political points than considering the real-world impacts of their decisions, like this forced transition from AISH to ADAP.
The government must change course. They can stop this dangerous transition, develop a better program, and treat all Albertans living with a disability with the respect they deserve.

WOW. Big news.
The Assembly of Treaty Chiefs just dropped a bomb on Danielle Smith.
Treaty 6, 7 & 8. United. Unanimously calling for an RCMP and Auditor General investigation into whether the Premier and her UCP government committed TREASON under Section 46 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The Chiefs met on Treaty 7 territory in Calgary on June 16 and voted as one — pushing a separation referendum that puts Canada’s sovereignty at risk, trampling the Treaty relationship, ignoring privacy violations affecting millions, and opening the door to foreign interference. That’s the case they’re laying out.
And they’re going back to the source. When Treaty was signed, the Northwest Mounted Police — now the RCMP — made a promise: protect First Nations, protect these Territories. The Crown guaranteed peace and goodwill in exchange for sharing this land.
The Chiefs are saying: eff around and find out.
