@Julie_YueYuan is a postdoc in the @Knightgroup1. Using zebrafish as a model, her work involves looking into why muscle regeneration is disturbed in ageing populations. Outside the lab, she enjoys travelling, delicious food, swimming and all things cat related! #MeetCCRB
Next up in our #MeetCCRB series: @Knightgroup1 aims to identify factors regulating muscle regeneration that can be targeted to promote strength in ageing and disease. Using advanced imaging in zebrafish and mouse models they combine in vivo cell biology with molecular genetics.
Robert Knight likes using cutting edge imaging tools to understand how cells can regenerate and keep us healthy with @ARK_KCL. He proactively supports early career researchers working with @KclCRSD and @BBSRC. When not working he is hiking, gardening or reading about evolution.
Congratulations Dr.Sultan @thesultan9000. We are proud of all the hard work you’ve achieved during your PhD. Wish you all the best on your new job @NHS_HealthEdEng as a data scientist.
Also, keep your eyes peeled for another piece of his work on studying the role of macrophage on muscle regeneration in zebrafish, which will be out soon 👀.
Joint with #MOSAICgroup1@csbdresden we are looking for an ambitious postdoc candidate with coding, microscopy and cell biology skills to apply for a Marie Curie EU fellowship between @KingsCollegeLon and @tudresden_de@csbdresden on stem cell regulation during regeneration
