SURPRISE: the biggest losers from the @SpaceX IPO weren’t mega-cap tech stocks… They were space ecosystem stocks that had rallied into the IPO, and small caps as retail money rotated out to chase SpaceX volatility 👀

AI data centers are getting bigger, and so are their power needs... xAI is building some of the world’s largest AI supercomputers, and the energy needed to run them is growing just as fast. The chart shows how power deman increases as AI clusters get bigger. Meta’s 129,000GPU cluster uses about 165 MW of power, while xAI’s planned Colossus 2 system is expected to reach 550,000 GPUs and 1,000 MW. Bigger data centers mean higher chip demand and more chips consume more power. Does the market fully appreciate what that could mean for SpaceX's future growth?

SpaceX reported a $4.9B net loss in 2025. The losses are driven by heavy investment across rockets, satellites, AI infrastructure, and GPU-intensive compute. SpaceX management describes this as a deliberate, front-loaded investment to build long-term leadership across space, connectivity, and AI. To us, this is not new. We've seen this same playbook among public mega-cap tech companies. For Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Broadcom, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Oracle, total capex reached about 427 billion dollars in 2025 and is projected to rise roughly 30% to about 562 billion dollars in 2026. *Data from RBC Wealth Management as of 2/3/2026.

China's equity market has been evolving fast, and many global investors are largely unaware of just how much has changed. A decade ago, financials, energy, and industrials dominated China's onshore market. Today, information technology has become the top sector, driven by a wave of new listings and the rise of domestic semiconductor, hardware, and AI companies. This shift is reflected in $KBA, our China A shares ETF, where information technology has overtaken financials as the largest sector weight, with four of the fund's top ten holdings listed after the fund itself launched in 2014. For investors who have been focused on US equities, China's onshore technology evolution may be a story worth revisiting. The @SpaceX IPO is almost here. Since SpaceX announced its target for a Nasdaq listing on June 12th, capital has rushed into the public space ecosystem. However, SpaceX is more than just a space company. It is also Connectivity and AI. Currently, @Starlink is the company's main revenue driver, and AI is seen as SpaceX's biggest opportunity. For most investors, SpaceX has been out of reach. The KraneShares Artificial Intelligence & Technology ETF (Ticker: $AGIX) holds SpaceX as a private portfolio position, alongside a basket of public AI and technology companies that have invested in or partnered with SpaceX, including $NVDA, $GOOG, $MSFT, and $AMZN. The global AI boom has created a memory crunch, and a compelling new supplier is emerging to help meet it. ChangXin Memory Technologies, China's largest dynamic, rapid-access memory (DRAM) maker, just filed to list on China's STAR Market, adding a credible fourth player to a global memory landscape dominated by @Samsung, @SKhynix, and @MicronTech. With profits reportedly surging and technology advancing toward high-bandwidth memory capabilities, ChangXin could play a meaningful role in the AI supply chain for years to come. ChangXin is not yet publicly traded, but the KraneShares SSE STAR Market 50 Index ETF (Ticker: $KSTR) could be a way for investors to gain exposure to this IPO when it lists. President Trump's visit to China was the most significant moment in US-China relations in years. Markets focused on what didn't happen: no tariff removals, no Strait of Hormuz reopening, and largely moved on. We think that's a mistake. Here's what markets may be overlooking: A delegation of twelve US corporate executives, including Elon Musk, Tim Cook, and Jensen Huang, attended the summit. The lifting of export controls on Nvidia H200 chips for Alibaba and Tencent. A commitment to further dialogue and bilateral institutions. President Xi is set to visit the White House in September. These are meaningful developments that we believe markets are underpricing. Offshore China, represented by $KWEB, has retraced back to its pre-summit level despite the positive developments, with its relative strength index back near levels that have historically indicated an oversold condition. We believe this could represent a potentially attractive entry point for investors. Read our full take on what the Trump-Xi Summit means for markets: rebrand.ly/62c739

SpaceX generated $18.7B in revenue in 2025, yet still reported a $4.9B net loss. Why? The IPO filing makes it clear the company is still aggressively investing in AI infrastructure, Starlink, next-generation launch systems, and compute capacity to scale long-term growth. For investors looking for exposure ahead of the SpaceX IPO, AGIX offers exposure to both SpaceX and Anthropic. For AGIX top 10 holdings click here: kraneshares.com/agix

Batteries are powering everything from EVs and AI data centers to robotics, and China is leading the charge. At the China International Battery Fair 2026 in Shenzhen, we went inside one of the world's largest battery exhibitions to explore how solid-state batteries, sodium-ion tech, and ultra-fast charging are reshaping the industry. @catl_official and @BYDGlobal aren't just manufacturing batteries, they're building the infrastructure for the next decade of electrification and AI.

SpaceX’s IPO S-1 just dropped and one thing is now crystal clear: Starlink is no longer just a side business. It’s the economic engine powering SpaceX. 2023: ~$4B in revenue 2025: $11B in revenue And the biggest surprise is not just growth. It’s margins. Launch still matters, but the filing confirms what many investors suspected for a while: Rockets may have built SpaceX. Starlink is scaling it.

Derek Yan recently joined the Animal Spirits: Talk Your Book podcast with @awealthofcs and @michaelbatnick to make the case for why $KOID offers investors a pure-play on the humanoid robotics revolution, comparing the opportunity to the build-out of EVs and smartphones: "You have 1.5 billion vehicles on the road, 4 billion smartphones built out in 15 years, so for humanoid robots, with a 3.5 billion working population, you're going to need 3 billion down the road." Yan also argued that the picks-and-shovels opportunity lies in the global supply chain of actuators, sensors, and components powering what Jensen Huang calls a $40 trillion market.
