Managed futures strategies are drawing renewed attention as investors look for diversification beyond traditional stock and bond portfolios. Recent coverage from @247WallSt highlighted $KMLM among funds that provided diversification in the first half of 2026. Read: bit.ly/4efzq2t For KMLM standard performance: bit.ly/4xFdyFk Diversification does not ensure a profit or guarantee against a loss.

The thing that doesn't make any sense about your line is you could be telling me to own CTA, KMLM, MFUT, and any other ETFs that exist as well. That would be the intellectually consistent version of your view. Pushing only CTA and none of the others doesn't make any sense.

I just went live with my own global portfolio after 6 years of overthinking it. Here's what made the cut 🧵 1/ The friction nobody talks about Forex spreads. Bank paperwork. 20,000 ETFs. Getting money out of India alone took years to sort out. IOB first, cheap but painful (manual docs every single transfer). Then Kotak, around 0.5 to 0.7% forex markup but at least it actually works. Other private banks like HDFC or ICICI charge north of 1% or 2%. That's just step 1. Step 2 is harder: what do you actually buy? 2/ Single-country risk is underrated until it destroys you Japan. UK. It happens. Slowly, then all at once. 40% into $MWEQ (MSCI World Equal Weight Fund). 23 developed markets. No single country bet. 3/ Drawdowns aren't a math problem. They're behavioral. You don't fail because you don't know the theory. You fail because you can't sit through -60% without doing something stupid. 40% in trend-managed equities. $PTLC (16%) $PTIN (24%). The rule is simple: cut 50% equity when the price breaks the 200 SMA. 4/ Own something that works when everything else is on fire Not bonds. Not gold. Managed futures, which do trend following on all bonds, commodities, and currencies. There are two centuries of evidence supporting managed futures. Full research on this: > arxiv.org/abs/1404.3274 > papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.… 20% into $KMLM. The only asset class with real crisis alpha. Final allocation: 40% Global equity ($MWEQ) 40% Trend-managed global equity ($PTLC $PTIN) 20% Managed futures ($KMLM) There's backtest bias. There are blind spots. But this is the first portfolio I genuinely won't abandon when things get ugly. Building this manually is a nightmare. Benchmarking, factor exposure, correlations, risk attribution. That's exactly why we built Finominal. Same depth as MSCI or Bloomberg, just not at $50K/year. Portfolio: finominal.com/asset-comparer… Backtest: finominal.com/portfolio-anal… Tear it apart.

Equities and bonds are falling together. Gold is behaving like a risk asset. Bitcoin is near year-to-date lows. The traditional 60/40 portfolio is being tested, and traditional diversifiers aren't offering much shelter. This is precisely the environment $KMLM was built for. Join KraneShares Bill Fagan for a timely discussion with Jerry Prior and David Aspell of @MountLucasMgmt, the sub-advisor for KMLM, on what's driving markets today and how a managed futures approach may help portfolios navigate the volatility.
